Since 2000, Coyote Canyon Adventures is offering the most exciting and highest quality family adventure tours available in San Miguel de Allende. We have half-day, full day and overnight horseback riding excursions available. Our expert cowboy guides lead you safely through working cattle ranches, into Coyote Canyon(a.k.a. Cañada de la Virgen), through its river, over its plains, across its gorges, and down its sheer cliffs, all the while sharing with you their in-depth knowledge of the native flora and fauna. Their horseback riding excursions are exciting and rugged yet can also be tailored for families with small children or for seniors who would prefer a slower pace. Or if you require a little more adrenaline you can add some rappelling at the end of your ride or hike through the canyon. We also offer the finest tours available of the archeological site named "Sitio Arqueologico Cañada de la Virgen", which is a 1600 year old pyramidal complex in the same area.

Loved that Coyote Adventures picked me up at my casita, on time, provided breakfast after a beautiful ride, and transportation back home.

Our three grandchildren came to visit San Miguel for the first time. : ages 12,10 &.8. They went to Spanish school, Xote and finished the visit with a week at Coyote Canyon Adventure camp. They rode horses, rappelled, zip lined, swam and learned about the environment and team building. They ranked this experience the BEST of all. We plan to... More

We had a family group ages 18-84 with little to no riding experience, some with apprehensions in ability and emotion. The trip was even better than hoped, right from the beginning! Rodrigo and staff were patient, accommodating, fun, instructive, encouraging. The horses were steady, strong, gentle and energetic when needed. We could not believe what we were able to experience... Loved La Cañada de la Virgen. Our excursion was well organized and our guide Dr. Rosana Quiroz was AMAZING. I highly highly recommend this!

My 5 year old girl and 6 year old boy who had never ridden a horse absolutely loved this experience!!!! My son went as far as to say that it was the best day ever :) I enjoyed myself tremendously as I watched my kiddos ride horses for 2 hours on their own thru the beautiful canyon. The staff was... We booked our half-day horseback riding trip at the last minute. CCA graciously made my son's 14th birthday adventure a reality. Our 4 person family were the only people on the tour. We had a marvelous translator (thanks, Daniela!) and 3 ranch riders. The trail is exciting and lovely--great butterflies & birds & toads & cliff-dwelling bees!--the midway rest was... More

Our visitors from Southern California were looking for an adventure and since we had been with Coyote Canyon for a trip to Canada de la Virgin we suggested and everyone went...A wild ride in the country on a rainy July day should not be considered fun...but it was wonderful. The trip was well organized and the safety equipment was good,... More

The canyon was really beautiful, and the horses were sure footed. We got to ride thru streams, gallop along the banks, stop for a lariat/roping show...fun, fun, fun! There were 4 of us, we had 3 guides, and two of their kids...the ladies prepared a wonderful vegetarian lunch that was ready when we finished the tour...Great Day!

This is a must in San Miguel. We took the 6-hour ride and it was a wonderful experience. The guides are very experienced and professional. They take you to the most beautiful places so you can get the best scenarios for your pictures. The meal was out of this world! Very simple but you can tell that everything was organic... More

Our family of seven with kids 9 to 16 took the half day plus lunch tour of Canada de la Virgen. It was a wonderful learning experience for us all. The ranch lunch was good and well presented. We will be back.
