After the spectacular train journey from Los Mochis, I had no idea about the treat that I was to experience till I actually did. It's supposedly much larger than the Grand Canyon, but it is different in the sense you don't see the colors and the sheer drops that you see at Grand Canyon for miles as you walk along... More

Tammy and the Copper Canyon Adventures organised our visit to los Barrancas - it was effortless with the inimitable Cristina Hallal as our guide and El Chepe as the conduit. This was a custom trip on a well travelled route, starting in Chihuahua via Creel, Divisadero and Urique (Paraiso de Oso is the most charming place to stay) to El... More

Absolutely amazing system of canyons ( 7 huge ones! ) some deeper than the Grand Canyon. In the Sierra Tarahumara of Chihuahua, about a 10 hr. drive from Tucson Arizona. It's a place to fulfill all your extreme outdoor needs! At Divisadero, which is where 3 of the biggest canyons come together, there is an adventure park with an amazing... More

OMG! It is beyond belief. It has seven different sections and takes at least a couple of hours to finish. By USA standards it is cheap. You are literally flying above the Grand Canyon of Mexico!!! Not for the faint hearted. I am scared of heights and don't know how I got talked into it. First of all, I hired... More

And it's was worth the trip. Bigger than the Grand Canyon they say, what an amazing sight, in Mexico i think you should take a bus to go to Chihuahua to see this, really cool!

This is one of the most impresive places I know. Riding in the cable car is an excellent adventure. I did not try the zip lines this time but for sure I will next time.

Getting to the Canyon system is not easy, a train trip from El Fuerte, 300 kms. to the west started the trip. I headed up to DIversidero, the village that accesses you to the parkland. Getting off the trai should afford you views - but they are obscured by a lot of food stalls on the platform! Most people didn't... More

I travelled from El Fuerte (a must! perfect Mexican "magical town") to Divisadero, the best part of the train trip on the Chepe (a touristic train that goes from Chihuahua to the Pacific). Amazing place, the view is great. Be careful with the room: 1 and 2 are outside the facilities, 3 to 10 have foul smell... there's a building... More

Copper Canyon is a spectacular natural wonder. Put it on your bucket list! Do take the cable car and zip line course inside the National Park and an overnight tour to the bottom of the canyon. Bring plenty of cash with you to purchase the beautiful handcrafted baskets and wood carvings.

The canyon is so beautiful, I wanted to stay for more days, unfortunately, I was there for a short stay. You must go to the are where the cable car and tirolesas are, tirolesas are great!! A once in a lifetime experience. The whole área is very safe, contrary to what we had heard on the news and is very very... More
