I travelled from El Fuerte (a must! perfect Mexican "magical town") to Divisadero, the best part of the train trip on the Chepe (a touristic train that goes from Chihuahua to the Pacific). Amazing place, the view is great. Be careful with the room: 1 and 2 are outside the facilities, 3 to 10 have foul smell... there's a building... More

Copper Canyon is a spectacular natural wonder. Put it on your bucket list! Do take the cable car and zip line course inside the National Park and an overnight tour to the bottom of the canyon. Bring plenty of cash with you to purchase the beautiful handcrafted baskets and wood carvings.

The canyon is so beautiful, I wanted to stay for more days, unfortunately, I was there for a short stay. You must go to the are where the cable car and tirolesas are, tirolesas are great!! A once in a lifetime experience. The whole área is very safe, contrary to what we had heard on the news and is very very... More

We have had a wonderful week with Copper Canyon Adventures. Tammy, the organiser, even found out our flights had been changed, when we did not know, and helped to book more suitable ones. Our guide, Juan was brilliant, knowledgeable, caring, amusing and even made a translation out of a book which he emailed to us later. The canyons are brilliant... More

There are many excellent and informative reviews, so I just wanted to add a bit of advice from my experience there. First, if you want to do the zip lines, do not expect to do so as part of a tour from an hotel. Arrange transportation to the zip line station and expect to spend a full morning or afternoon... More

If you ever get the chance to do this you have to. Start in El Fuerte. The Chepe train ride is amazing. We stayed at Hotel Divisadero which has rooms right on the edge of the canyon and at least half the price of the ones at the stop before. A guide took us to the tram and other points... More

What more could you want in journey? The scenes were beautiful at all hours of the day - sunsets were gorgeous! So much to learn about the Tarahumara people. An engineering feat second to none to construct that railway so long ago. Highly recommended. It can be difficult to get information though, even limited on the web. Might be best... More

We booked a shore excursion for nine months before our HAL Cruise to the Sea of Cortez. We were looking for an alternative to the cruise companies tours for our one day in Topoblanco. We were very impressed with what Copper Canyon Adventures had to offer and decided to purchase their guided one tour and recruited other passengers to join... More

My husband and I are traveling by sailboat, from San Diego to the 'Mexican Riviera'. He always wanted to see the Copper Canyon, he loves trains, I was dubious. First we had to get there, then we had to figure out the trip. We had a couple of travel guides, but infrequent internet access, so no real concrete info and... More

NOV,2013. We took the train from El Fuerte to the Copper Canyon. If interested in El Fuerte and transportation to it from Los Mochis see my other post about Hotel Rio Vista. The train ride from the sea of Cortez to Copper Canyon is much more scenic than the route from the other direction. Fare from El Fuerte to Creel... More
