My wife and our 16 year old son had one of our best vacations this spring in the Copper Canyon. Our trip was organised soup to nuts by a great agency called 3 Amigos travel based out of Creel and we elected to have one of their guides with us for the 8 days we were in the region which... More

In March 2013, my boyfriend & I took Baldarama Tours out of Los Cabos to the Copper Canyon. The tour guides were very prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I can't say enough about this tour company and would recommend it to others without a problem. The hotel were all great, especially Hotel Mision in Cerocaqui and Hotel Mirador in Posada... More

This is a good visit and it is easy to make reservations. Call the las Margaretas hotel in Creel, you can talk to an English speaking person and she will set up the rooms in Creel and the rooms in the canyon with transportation. A road to the canyon is being paved and the trip will be a lot less... More

We started my trip from Los Mochis Sinaloa with the Chepe Train. What an adventure to get to Posada Barrancas it took approximately 8.5 hours but well worth it. The train has a dining car with pretty decent food, This is the best part of the train ride and we had right sided seats. The bridges, waterfalls and tunnels are... More

Let me be perfectly clear: Mexico is as safe as any country around the globe. The near paranoia generated by the governments of the USA and Canada is almost obscene. Sure there are problems in Mexico but worse than anywhere else?? Absolutely NOT. I drove from Douglas NM to the Copper Canyon via Nuevo Casa Grandes, the latter of which... More

Where to start? The sunrises . . The sunsets . . Or the day it rained and we caught a rainbow in the mountain. An amazing place which needs a lot more publicity from the Mexican people to get people to see this sight. We did our own ventures, usually walking or catching local buses, - no tours. Walking the... We spent from Feb.1 to Feb.6 getting to tour the Copper Canyon by rail. We went with a company called Superior Tours and they were excellent. We started out in Los Mochies and next morning transfered to El Fuerte for a day of exploring. The hotel Posada del Hidaigo is the home of Zoro and it is beautiful. Train trip... More

The Copper Canyon is the second largest canyon in the world second only to Peru. The tressells and bridges, waterfalls, cliffs and tunnels are an incredible experience. The canyon itself is breathtaking an untouched and the people are shy and unassuming. They are happy to sell their home made crafts but are very private and proud people as caretakers of this... We booked our tour of Barrancas del Cobre through David Warner’s Copper Canyon Tour (copper-canyon-tour.com). David was extremely helpful both via telephone and email with making all of the arrangements we needed for a fabulous 8 day and 7 night vacation. The total cost for the entire trip was $1600 per person. This included a round trip cross-border taxi ride,... More

There are no adequate words to describe the scenery of this magnificent area! Each view seems to better than the last! We took the trip on the aerial tram which descends part of the way to the bottom of the Canyon. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Heights are not really my thing but I felt completely safe in this tram... More
