Very rustic mission built by the Jesuits in the 1700s. Very plain and simple, without all the adornment typically associated with Catholic churches. Instead of pews, the walls are lined with benches, leaving the main floor free for the dancers.The best time to visit of course is when there is a service, or an event, which occur on a regular... We visited the Mission on a Sunday. The church service was going on. Males are seated on the left side and females are seated on the right side on the floor. It is awesome how Mother Nature can transformed the rocks into Mushrooms, Toads and Monks. This is a place where travellers should not miss.
