Lovely Spot for a Picnic Lunch

The lake is beautiful and has paddle boats if you are feeling energetic. The washrooms are relatively clean. Very pleasant place to spend a few hours to rest and hang out.

Depending on how you look at it, it's either a very nice reservoir, or an OK lake. The rocks in the area around the lake are attractive. If you have nothing else to do in Creel you don't want to miss this small excursion.

I didn't found this quite amusing, it's a normal lake like all the others, but it was part of my tour so it was ok

Wow! This lake at first glance does not seem very big but it really is. It is shaped like a horse shoe so that's the reason it doesn't seem that big. You have to walk down from the highway if you want to touch the water which has a lot of algae.

This lake is beautiful to take pictures. We were there for approx 20 minutes because it was very cold. But the scenery was beautiful our guide showed us pictures of the lake a few weeks before covered in snow!

We utilized Three Amigos tour company for the typical tour out of Creel, and mostly enjoyed everything. The only problem with the portion that drove by Arareco lake was that we went to a very unscenic area, which looked like a drying up lake bed, near some rental boats (that no one was using, but it was December and cold).... We only spent a small amount of time in the area but would have loved to have had more time to explore. A serene peaceful quiet spot

I did a 2 hour trip from Best Western Lodge at Creel with 3 other people and we visited this lake. It is a reservior for the area. It's pretty but nothing outstanding.
