There is a room for presentations that can accommodate well over 100 people. The restaurant and on-site lodging has been great as well. We always stay an extra day and do whitewater... More

In early October my husband and I took our first whitewater rafting trip with Crab Apple. It was high water release on the Dead River, which sounds a little intimidating. It was pretty awesome though. We were privileged to have Tom as our guide. His competence, good humor and flat out skill soon put us at ease. We saw wonderful... More

I spent this weekend with the Crab Apple crew. Saturday we rafted the Dead river and Sunday was the Kennebec river! Both are classified as class III-V. It was some great rafting. Kevin and Jim are fantastic river guides! I only have good things to say. I stayed in the lodge of Crab Apple. Very spacious, clean and warm. It... More

At first, my family was a little hesitant about trying white water river rafting. Our guide, Mike, was wonderful. He let everyone in the raft know what to do and what was to be expected. The first part of the trip was fun and exciting, the second part was more calm and relaxing. After the trip, the kids went into... More

We had an incredible experience last week with our first whitewater rafting experience at Crab Apple Whitewater!! Jason (our guide) was awesome, as was the friendly staff throughout the journey. I was very skeptical at first, but once everything was explained and discussed, the staff made the event a much more relaxing time for me! What a great family outing...I... More

Returned for our annual visit to one of the Crab Apple rafting trips. Kennebec in Maine this summer as the younger family members were old enough to enjoy the Maine river. As always we had a great time hitting the waves and enjoying the ride down the river. This time the weather was very hot but we had ample opportunity... More

Thanks for the wonderful review. I'm glad the younger kids are finally old enough to enjoy the thrill of rafting. It's an activity that families of all ages always are excited to do. An often overlooked part of the trip is the BBQ at the end of the day. Some outfitters eat on the side of the river, but because... More

We rafted the Kennebec River on August 12th and had a blast! Dustin, our river guide, did a really good job - we had the best hit of the day on Magic Falls! The staff was professional, but fun, and took all necessary safety precautions. We would go rafting with Crab Apple (and Dustin) again in a heartbeat!

I'm so glad you had so much fun with Dustin! He is one of our most requested guides in Maine. He truly loves what he does and is always excited to share his passion with his guests, and somehow he always has the best hits at Magic! Thanks for the wonderful comments and we look forward to having you return... More
