I'm writing this after my second trip to Tulum, and second time cenote diving with Calypso. After having such a great experience the first time, it was a no-brainer to book them again when I returned with my husband for a 2nd trip. Both the owners and the dive masters are easy to work with, the equipment is well maintained,... More

Diving the cenotes was an amazing experience! I have 500 logged dives all over the world, and can honestly say there is Nothing else like cenote diving. Calypso was an excellent choice in dive operations. Helene was very helpful in making arrangements for diving and hotel reservations. We dove three days; each day we had a different divemaster. All three... More

I was visiting the Ruins in Tulum and decided to spend a second day Diving in the Cenotes. Based on the recent reviews of La Calypso Dive Center I booked a trip with them online. Everything you may have read about them is absolutely true !! What a great, highly professional group of people, from the 1st email inquiry to... More

Three of us went on reef dives with Nico and Cenote dives with Anais. Both divemasters were well-prepared and very attentive to detail. We were all beginner divers but the excellent briefings and the small groups made us feel comfortable. The reefs in Tulum are some of the best I've seen, but if you have limited time, you can't miss... More

We were looking to get some experience with diving in caverns. We went to grand cenote and calavera. It was amazing. Ana was super friendly, made us feel safe, everything was fun and professional. I still have to send her the video of the beautiful hallocline.. But as you know divers forget things! Please drop your email down here and... More

I was in Tulum for a wedding and wanted to dive but didn't know any other divers. I found La Calypso online and couldn't have been happier. I was greeted at the shop where I met Nico and the one other diver I'd be diving with. The briefing was thorough. We were both AOWD so we got to do a... More

I was down in Tulum with 3 friends last week and dove 4 dives with La Calypso. I had never been diving in caves or caverns before and while I was super excited, I knew it would be very different than the Caribbean diving I was used to. La Calypso was amazing. We were a group with different levels of... More

My wife and I recently visited Tulum with friends. I am a Rescue Diver and my wife and two friends are uncertified. There may have been some trepidation from non-divers to begin with but our instructor, Anais, was calming and professional and melted away the concerns. I give huge kudos to Anais for the way she handled us all and... More

My girlfriend and I did two dives with La Calypso last month. We went first to the Pit and then to Dos Ojos. It was just the two of us with the divemaster, Ana, and she was very friendly and patient. She tailored the dives just for us and explained the different options we had. Would definitely go back to... More

I dived Angelita and gran cenote, both very different but awesome sites. Angelita was eerie and dark, have to see it to believe it - but low vis can make people panicky potentially. Gran cenote was shallow but very clear and vis was miles. The crew were good to dive with and we had a smaller group than other centers.
