I was down in Tulum with 3 friends last week and dove 4 dives with La Calypso. I had never been diving in caves or caverns before and while I was super excited, I knew it would be very different than the Caribbean diving I was used to. La Calypso was amazing. We were a group with different levels of... More

My wife and I recently visited Tulum with friends. I am a Rescue Diver and my wife and two friends are uncertified. There may have been some trepidation from non-divers to begin with but our instructor, Anais, was calming and professional and melted away the concerns. I give huge kudos to Anais for the way she handled us all and... More

My girlfriend and I did two dives with La Calypso last month. We went first to the Pit and then to Dos Ojos. It was just the two of us with the divemaster, Ana, and she was very friendly and patient. She tailored the dives just for us and explained the different options we had. Would definitely go back to... More

I dived Angelita and gran cenote, both very different but awesome sites. Angelita was eerie and dark, have to see it to believe it - but low vis can make people panicky potentially. Gran cenote was shallow but very clear and vis was miles. The crew were good to dive with and we had a smaller group than other centers.

We visited Tulum to celebrate my Birthday which falls on the Dia De Los Muertos holiday. Before arriving I had emailed with Hèléne and told her what we were looking for. She was incredibly helpful and inspiring. We saw lots of photos and she helped us decide which cenote to dive for our first experience. One person in our party... More

I had been to Tulum once in the past with a friend. We knew that snorkeling in cenotes is really one of the highlights of any trip to the Riviera Maya, so we had gone to the well-known Gran Cenote and snorkeled there. This time, I wanted to try something less touristy and more off the beaten path... I was... More

I arrived in Tulum in late October of 2014. I had to plan to scuba dive but didn’t have an idea of where to begin. Nico of La Calypso Dive Center came highly recommended. I called him and immediately his professionalism was evident. The booking, price, map, etc. was all organized to a full extent which was a good start.... More

Dove two reefs with La Calypso in October 2014. Easy to find, right near the center of town. Our guide was experienced and happy to work with our more beginner member. Cannot wait to return and dive the cenotes with them.

We found this dive center online and reserved a dive for the next day for a dive at a nearby cenote known as "Dos Ojos". The trip to Dos Ojos was competitively priced, we found the instructor knowledgable of not only diving but also of areas local of interest, and most importantly we had a very fun and safe dive....
