This was our second tour of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, and Aldo was once again our guide. We had planned on doing the snorkeling tour but the weather was not cooperative, so we had to change plans. We spent a lot of time seeing local wild-life, and the most incredibly beautiful pink birds. Aldo took us to a beautiful beach... More

We set this up months in advance because we wanted to see the Sian Ka'an biopreserve, and my research led me to VSK. We were not disappointed. We met Aldo at the arch at 8:30, and headed down to the boat landing, where we (just our family of 5 and Aldo) loaded up. The colors of the lagoon are beautiful--turquoise... More

We had a car so decided to forgo the tours and take this adventure on our own. We are so glad we did! It is a long drive, but beautiful! We stopped at the point where there is just a small strip of land between the bay side and the sea side. This is where the tours stop and the... More

Visit - 16th February 2015 Absolutely without a doubt the highlight of our trip this year to Tulum, such a beautiful natural area. We spent a day with Aldo and another lovely couple touring the mangroves and canals of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere. We spotted manatees, crocodiles, roseate spoonbills, pelicans, ospreys and a host of other inhabitants of the Biosphere.... More

We had a full-day trip with Aldo and got to experience a lot during the day. I can just recommend you to do this trip. Floating down the river for half an hour was really relaxing. Going fast with the boat in the narrow canal was great fun! Also to be able to see beautiful lagoons and wild birds and... More

I traveled to Playa del Carmen with my 3 children (6, 12, 13) and mother in February. We wanted to explore Sian Ka'an but hadn't made advance arrangements. We were able to easily book this tour in a short time-frame. And, I'm so glad we did! I can't say enough about how wonderful this tour was - the location is... More

Aldo did a great job. He's very knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of Sian Kan'an and an all around good guy. My husband and I enjoyed spending time on his little boat. The snorkeling was fun, but my favorite part was floating down the ancient canal. So peaceful! We barely saw anyone while we were out in the reserve.... More

Aldo's tours in Sian Ka'an are unlike most in Riviera Maya. Most tours cram as many people in as possible, making for a less than desirable experience to say the least. Aldo's tours have very limited space, in fact, it was just my wife and I when we toured the Mayan Canals and Muyil Ruins. Gliding through the mangrove canals... More

Aldo is awesome and Sian Ka'an is gorgeous. Highly recommended. We had signed up for a snorkeling tour, but conditions were poor due to wind, so everyone on board agreed we should focus more on wildlife watching. Aldo was totally cool with this, and proceeded to take us on an all-day tour inside the Sian Ka'an preserve. We saw manatees,... More

We just spent the day touring Sian Ka'an. Our guide was Aldo Ancona. What a truly amazing day with a charming patron of this beautiful place. First a quick run down of what we did - we hopped in Aldo's boat and saw manatee, crocodile, at least 15 types of birds, then went snorkeling, ate mango, traveled up the Mayan... More
