Rico took us on the Cenotes dives (dos ojos); he's a great dive master. The shop was very accommodating with providing a guide to snorkel with our son while we were diving. It was expensive but worth the piece of mind. Wasn't very impressed with the local dives; reefs been ruined by sand, so I'm not sure why they took... More

My son and I had a great first dive experience with Scuba Libre. Samuel was our instructor and guide. He was calm and clear and reassuring. He helped us get past initial nervousness and challenges so we could ultimately have a great dive experience. Marianna took great photos and created a video of our experience that we will treasure. Thanks... More

I did the PADI Open Water course at Sandos Caracol at the end of May and it was excellent. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at Scuba Libre. They were all very friendly, professional and well organized. I felt very comfortable doing the course with them. My special recommendation goes out to Scuba Instructor Maryse because of... More

I chose scuba libre because Silvia seemed much more knowledgeable and understanding that I was an inexperienced diver. I did 4 dives with them, 2 on the reef and 2 at the cenotes and they were all fantastic. I felt very comfortable and looked after by my instructors even when I had to resurface because of equalizing problems. The cenotes... More

We have been to a snorkeling tour with scuba libre, from Playa del Carmen. First, the boat arrived 30 min late, but it’s not a big deal. Second and most important point : the guide was FEEDING THE FISH AND THE TURTLES during the all time we were on the water !! Instead of going on the barrier reef, the... More

A group of 5 girls dived with Scuba Libre for a week in April. The staff were informative, knowledgeable and very friendly. The dive shop is clean and extremely well organized. They know where everything is and do an excellent job keeping guests equipment separate and organized in labeled tubs. To get on the dive boat you have to wade... More
