This is a great course, but if you are not in the fairway- you will lose your ball. The mangroves are tight and the water is in play. Great course, but if you aren't dead straight- bring some extra balls.

I stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba last week and had the great pleasure to play El Camaleon. It was outstanding! It was a great lay-out with a fair amount of water, traps and a really cool cenote on the first fairway at about 280 yards. I'm a 14 and shot a 90 from the blues. Two par threes are on... More

Nice course but over priced. Seventy dollars for club rentals that are bent and two years old, cart was fifty dollars. They do not pay attention to time so we waited every hole every shot, turned into a five and half hour game for two people who play ready golf.

This was the second course I played in Cancun, the first was at my resort at the Moon Palace. What a difference. First of all I paid less than half of what moon palace charges. I did book through Golf Now, it cost me $2 to make the reservation and I paid $129 at the course. The 2 guys ahead... More

The course is in excellent shape and each hole was unique and memorable with amazing Cenote and ocean views along many of the holes. PGA tour course that is very expensive but worth it for a check-off on your golf bucket list!

This is truly a treat to play a course like this. This course is set up for a fair challenge from the front tees to the Tips, we played it twice and tried two different tees and it played well from both. Great experience!

The golf course is very pretty, well maintained, (as always), and challenging. It is certainly the best golf course within 100 miles of Cancun. I do not think I will get tired of playing this course and I look forward to my next visit to the area.

Compares to the best resort and private courses in IL, MI, SC, NC, FL, AZ, CA, HI, NV and Porta Valarta. I know good golf and this rates right up there. 2 par 3's that play towards the spectacular beach. Challenging jungle play too with top course maintenance. Long par 4's/5's when playing into the wind. Clubhouse and staff are... More

This will be a short review. Mayakoba is home to the PGA's OHL Classic. It has dedicated chipping, pitching, putting, bunker, and driving practice areas. The course is in top notch shape as well. My main criticism of Mayakoba . . . . it's a residential development still in sales phase. The cart paths were full of trolleys carrying prospective... More

I went to watch the PGA and it was a fabulous event. This is a beautiful golf course with great close-up views of the players especially on Thursday and Friday. Sunday was a little more crowded. There is also a cute little Puebla near the entrance.
