My husband played at Mayakoba today while I drove the cart. All I can say is what a waste of part of our vacation! He had to change clubs 3 times because they kept giving him some with regular shafts and others with stiff shafts. The clubs themselves were VERY worn out, the driver nearly unusable. Some of the staff... More

This is a great fun course. However, its wildly overpriced not only in comparison to other courses, but also for food and drinks.

I had to check it out...the resort has fantastic reviews and a PGA course...so I went for lunch. The grounds are amazing. The property is amazing. The service is very good. The food is good...not 5 star by my estimation...and a $70 lunch (US) I felt was overpriced, but you are paying for the experience, which was worth it. Would... More

This is as nice as it gets. Service is first class and the faculties are luxurious. The course was in perfect condition. This is a PGA tour stop so you know the layout has to be challenging but fair. But, I played the correct tee box for my game (6,100 yds) and shot my average. Golf is expensive everywhere down... More

This is a golf resort which attracts probably above average players. Staying in Playa for 6 weeks I decided to take my below average game to Mayakoba! It is expensive but savings can be found if you play after noon, they advertise 1 or 2pm as twilight time but if you check it can be much earlier. (i.e. 12 noon)... More

first class service, a great practice facility, and beautiful views. the television coverage does not do this place justice. I regret to say that the only thing I didn't enjoy with this course was the fact that the greens were horribly slow. I understand that they cannot have the greens at tour speeds all year long as it would affect... More

Absolutely loved this course. Didn't like the cost, but it was a 50th birthday and a bucket list item so I'm over it. I am not a scratch golfer and by no means close to being great. With that said, I loved this course. We didn't find the fairways thin like other had suggested. Perhaps that is because our local... More

Played MayaKoba last week.....course is really interesting, not to harsh for a resort-golfer and challenging for better players.

I have played here a couple times in March and can't say enough good things. I play off a 5 handicap and didn't find the course overly tough, the wind will challenge you and the greens are great with the green side chipping areas mowed very tight. When I travel to resorts I always try to play super early to... More

This is a great course, but if you are not in the fairway- you will lose your ball. The mangroves are tight and the water is in play. Great course, but if you aren't dead straight- bring some extra balls.
