We liked the beach. It was somewhat clean for the amount of traffic. A younger crowd with pumping music, which contrary to some of the other Trip Advisor reviewers, we actually love since we've been to Ibiza. To us, the music should actually be louder with the same amount of bass, since all we hear is bass and not the... More

The beach area is nice however the service provided at this place is very bad. Lack of service, and as soon as they bring your bill they want you to leave and not to use any more the chairs and umbrella which of course is paid the minute you sit down. The drinks are terrible, they taste like water. Definitely... More

With the worst drinks. Definitely order beer only. Everything else is watered down with minimal alcohol. Ceviche was great and very large. Service good. The guys are as nice as you are to them. Imagine working in the hot sand all day dealing with jerks.

So we live in Canada and have been travelling for the past couple of weeks. Our time in Playa has been amazing and as this was my last day I wanted to go out in style. Two of us spent the day at Mamita's and had the great fortune of being served by a great server named Derek (if you... More

Service is slow, wifi isnt free and takes forever to receive access to since you need to ask a personal code from the waiters. If your looking for beach, bed and some wifi better go to the beachrestaurants

It is place located not far from 5th Avenida. They have divided their beach into two parts. One part is with common sun beds and umbrellas and the other looks like beds with room (you may see something similar on Niki Beach but nothing so cheap looking). When you choose option No. 1 you have to be there until 09:30... More

I'm staying nearby at a small resort which was rated (and is) "quiet," but I am forced to listen to Mamitas' thumping bass from 1 pm to 1 am. There's no way to escape it. Even if I close my windows with my a.c. on - which I don't want to do because I like to hear the ocean, I... More

If you want access to the beach while staying off the beach, a comfortable chair, perhaps an umbrella if you get there early, this is a great spot. Not a stunning beach, but for playa del Carmen, its just like any beach around downtown. Staff seems to make up their own rules, but most of the staff was great and... More

As a beach club it´s ok, cheap chairs and umbrellas... around 90 mxn for the whole day, with access to showers and bathrooms. My hotel gave me a 50% rent discount, so was even cheaper. The beach is not the best of Playa del Carmen, is a downtown beach, it´s good for when you don´t wanna travel to Xcacel, Tulum... More
