We where a group of 4 friends (2 couples - 1 handicapped) and booked tour to cenotes, Chichen Itsa and village of La Naranja. Especially the village tour did impress us. We where treated like friends and had a very good lunch in a private house. Stefanie was well prepared and assistance also for the handicapped person was excellent (transport... More

What an amazing day! With four in our group, the boys wanted to see the Mayan ruins and the girls wanted to zip line. This day trip hit those areas and then some! First we repelled off a cliff, did two zips lines, hiked through the jungle (next time I'll bring better shoes), canoed, visited a Mayan village, swam in... More

This trip was recommended to us by hotel trip representative and we are soooo glad we took his recommendation. It was an awesome experience and got to do so many different things in one trip. The food we ate in the village was some of the best we had the entire time we ate in Mexico. We felt safe and... More

I had the best day of my vacation in Playa del Carmen on this tour. Riaz was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the jungle wildlife and archeology of the ancient Mayans. We hiked in the jungle, canoed on a lake, zip-lined, rappelled down into a cenoté that was almost entirely enclosed and explored Coba by foot or... More

We returned to Mexico for a second visit and again Stefanie was our friend and guide. She rented a scooter for my 91 year old father to use - it was much better than a wheelchair because he had more independence. This year we decided to spend our entire visit in Bacalar, again staying at the Rancho Encantado resort. This... More

Thanks so much for your lovely feedback, Susan! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Your dad is a great inspiration for many, and it feels good to have people around who are so appreciative about the Mayan culture and local biodiversity. I'd be honored to accompany you again! More

We did the Mayan encounter. In the morning we did zip-lining, swimming in the cenote, and kayaking. We also saw a Mayan Blessing Ritual and ate lunch in the Mayan village, homemade empanadas - SO good. In the afternoon we went to the Coba Ruins. They still let you climb there. The temple has 125 steps. They are pretty steep.... More

We have used Stefanie for 3 tours now, each time we stayed in Mexico. The first time my husband just had foot surgery and was on crutches. She did a great job getting him a wheelchair and even pushing him around. We have toured Coba, Chichen Itza, and most recently Ek Balam. She arranged a knowledgeable guide at each of... More

I recently spent a week with my 90 year old father on trip to Mexico that was planned for us by Project Mayan Encounter. My father is able to walk only short distances and uses a wheelchair for longer distances. Stefanie did a wonderful job of finding sites that were wheelchair accessible and also found guides for each activity who... More
