In June, my friend and I took a private tour with Barry from Maya Can Eco Tours (not to be confused with Mayan Ecotours). As we were staying at Isla Mujeres, he and his driver, Mauricio, picked us up at the Puerto Juarez ferry dock in Cancun at 7:30 am. As soon as we met him we felt as if... More

Three things I will never forget about my first trip to the Riviera Maya: fresh homemade empanadas offered freely from a beautiful Mayan family; floating in a giant cave filled with crystal-clear water; and our tour guide, Barry, whom I can now call friend. --- My girlfriend, her twin sister and I were looking for the perfect tour to fit... My husband and I spent a day with Barry and had an outstanding time. Barry and his driver picked us up at our hotel and started off to Coba. We were able to beat the crowds at Coba and Barry secured our entrance fees and hired us a guide so all we had to do was walk in and enjoy.... More

Barry, and his team, was exceptional in planning and guiding all of our activities in our 10 day trip to the Mayan Riveria. Service was top notch and personalized. With Barry, we were able to visit exceptional sites that only the locals really know, avoid many tourist traps, all for great value. Thanks again to Maya Can Eco Tours for... More

My family of four, including two small kids (4 and 8) had a great, calm day with Barry exploring the Riviera Maya. We visited Coba, a family he knew who have a pet monkey, a honey factory, and a beautiful Cenote in the jungle. My son said the Cenote was the highlight of his trip, right up there with boogie... Had another great trip with Barry. We go to Playa once a year and we won't use any tour company but his. He really caters to what YOU want, you just have to let him know. He'll build a tour around you and is really laid back. Use Maya Can for all your transportation (airport etc) and tours. They are... More

First of all I want to say how impressed I was with Barry's genuine concern of how people treated the reef at Akumal! This underwater wonderland will only live on with caring individuals like Barry. We also enjoyed the leisurely trip to Tulum and the wonderful food. And a beautiful end to our day at La Zebra's gorgeous beach. Love... More

We had family in from the U.S. and wanted to do some snorkeling and tour some ruins. Barry picked us up at our complex at 8:30 AM. We spent a beautiful morning snorkeling with the turtles in Akumal followed by a great traditional Mexican lunch. After lunch we proceeded on to the ruins at Tulum where we learned many interesting... More

Our day started at 8.30 with Barry and his driver picking us up from our hotel lobby. From there we headed straight to Coba to explore the ruins. Barry arranged for a guide to take us around the site which was great. Its a big place - make sure you take insect spray as its in the jungle! We climbed... More

We enjoyed a fabulous private tour with our Canadian friend Barry and his driver "Ma" which included the "bucket list" worthy Dos Ojos Cenote followed by lunch at the stunning La Zebra restaurant/ hotel which overlooked one of the most gorgeous beaches I've ever seen. We contacted Barry telling him we wanted to see a cenote and he chose one... More
