We usually visit this church when we are in Playa del Carmen. During our visits we were initially surprised, but pleased, to find the Blessed Sacrament exposed in a monstrance on the altar. This is a very special little chapel for those of us who are Roman Catholic, and we always look forward to visit.

My wife and I travel to PDC every year and every time we pass this church it is normally having a wedding. Its is a beautiful place to see you can see the beach from the alter. It is a humbling place together away from the chaos . Well recommended.

Very beautiful and small church. From the altar window you can see the sea. Worth visiting if you are in playa, and it is close to the maya portal.

Quaint little church worth visiting. I did not attend their service. It is located at the south end of the pedestrian mall.

We enjoyed attending mass here, but beware it is not air conditioned. The ceiling fans help, but it was a little uncomfortable. There is an english mass at 10am, but our experience was that only part was in english, yet with the handout it is fun to follow along wit the Spanish. We attended the church on 15th ave nte

At the south end of 5th ave, right off the beach, stands this beautiful, bright white church. If I were to getting married I would use this church. I've seen a photography company's pictures of a wedding done here and they were gorgeous! I think the company was Bohemia photography in Playa. You should check this place out.

acing Chacras square is the architectural beauty of Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro Church built in 1935, standing out amidst the landscape. Sunday mass is heard both inside and outside the church as numerous people congregate on the beautiful grounds in front of the church. Check out the magnificent stone altar carved in the Mendocino-Colonial style. Visitors are invited.

Mass in spanish. Parishioners very friendly. Easy and inexpensive to get there by cab from the RIU compound. Or give yourself about 30 minutes and take a casual walk.

A beautiful quiet spot along a very busy avenue. A unique piece of Mexico overlooking the ocean, a cool spot in the midst of the heat. A great spot to photograph, to have a little rest, or to contemplate the wonders.

The pure white paint is so dazzling. The smooth stucco structure is humble in size and adornment. It is done in a style unlike the big cathedral structures elsewhere. It is intimate in size, and the interior is so well maintained and clean. The wood absolutely gleams. The setting makes it such a part of everyday life in this part... More
