It is a very nice little shopping area, they have a drug store there too, just incase :) I thought I should mention that. Lots of cute stuff but very expensive compeering to the main street in the Playa.

Just across the street from our hotel (Riu Playacar) but an easy walk from any of the hotels in Playacar. A drug store, a convenience store, Starbucks, clothing, tours and Mexican souvenirs all available. Surprisingly, the prices weren't any more expensive than on 5th Ave. so we found ourselves frequenting the plaza almost every day for one thing or another.... More

This place was a real life saver at moments during moments when we realized we had forgotten to bring a couple of essentials with us from home. At one point my wife's phone charger stopped working and we were able to find a replacement at a fraction of the cost. Things are generally higher in price here though, and if... More

We walked here a few times from our hotel, Sandos on Playa Car. Not a bad group of shops and a Pharmacy. Shops are particularly good for souvenirs as long as you remember to HAGGLE on the price as there will be big differences in what they quote and what you actually pay. I particularly liked Mr Chang excursions right... More

The Plaza Playacar in nice but if you prefer a nice mall go to Plaza Maya. Plaza Playcar is a nice stop for a pop in the middle of a 5 kilometer walk through Playacar. On the main highway you will see two large entrances to Playacar. If you enter walking you will enjoy a walk through lush junge vegetation,... More

We visited a couple of times while staying at the riu palace Mexico and it made for a nice little stroll in the evening. They people that ran the shops were a little pushy at times but if you give them the banter back they seem to love it and will happily barter with you to give you a better... More

This is a small shopping complex across the road from the hotels in Playacar, although it looks like an expansion is in the pipeline. There is a good variety of shops including pharmacy, jewellers and gift shops and some market type stalls; there is also a Starbucks. This is very handy if you just want one or two things or... This shopping area was just down the street from our hotel, within walking distance. The prices were average to high, no majorly good deals to be had. Good place to buy tours, otherwise nice place to window shop
