Just visited DiveMex in Playa del Carmen for a dive out to the Yucatan Reef. It was a great dive. My wife and I told Dirk that we wanted a shallow dive and to see a lot of exotic fish. The crew at DiveMex delivered, and some. We saw more tropical fish in the open than I have ever seen.... More

The Staff at DiveMex is fantastic. Emilio was my instructor for open water certification and he did an amazing job. Dirk tookus cave diving in Cenote Chac Mool he was a blast... Friendly, qualified, genuinely nice people that is how I would describe the people I worked with. I would Highly recommend them to anyone visiting Playa Del Carmen....

Ok, Dirk is German and a little rough.. maybe a lot rough. Not only does he look like House, he acts like him. Get over it if you want to dive a cenote or cave, because he knows what he is doing and be sure to ask him to teach you what he knows, even if you are experienced. He loves... More

Anna help greatly with all our questions and helped make this a great trip.the dive centre is situated near the beach-10 minute walk.A laid back but efficient dive team that seem to have it sussed. We met each day at the centre and were taken to the dive site by a knowledgeable member of staff and treated to a great day... I traveled down to Playa Del Carmen to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend in early January. We planned to dive with Divemex 4 out of the 7 days we were there. I emailed the shop about a month prior to arrival and Dirk who own’s Divemex with his wife Anna replied very quickly. I informed him that we wanted... More

On the spur of the moment my mother and I decided to leave Cozumel and take a day trip to Playa del Carmen. Marcel Taubert, the dive master, met us at the ferry and we did 2 dives together. They were dive number 114 and 115 for me. Marcel briefed us to stay in a group, get on our knees... More

My husband and I recently took a trip to Playa del Carmen to finish our scuba certification and enjoy the sun and sand. We booked our referral course to do our open water dives with DiveMex in Playa del Carmen and were not disappointed. It was a great experience. We had done our pool and theory in Colorado and after... More

We did wonderful dives with sharks in Playa, along the coral reef in Playa and in Cozumel, getting our AOWD for an unbeatable price, with friendly staff.

Went out with DiveMex for four dives on two days in the ocean basically just off the shore of Playa del Carmen. Saw my first ever stingrays, saw plenty of lion fish, some puffer fish, the omnipresent turtles of course and had an over all really nice set of dives, first with Marcel and then with Dirk the next day.... Dirk Z., the owner, is a good scuba guide, and the cenotes he took us to are wonderful. Having said that, he was incredibly inappropriate. He said many despairing comments about Mexicans to his customers, not realizing there was a Mexican in the group (me). (Just to clarify, Dirk is German.) After I pointed it out to him, he admitted... Thank you Roberto for taking the time to write a review about DiveMex. We are glad to read that you appreciated the cenotes dives. I think it is very unfortunate to call anybody a racist, specially a German. It is a little bit surprising to me that you are offended by the political and economical situation of your country of...
