I asked if they took credit cards and they said no. I asked again, "How can that be"? "Cash only Signore". I figured out why. A one way trip was $12 USD. I gave the rude attendant a $50 bill. She returned $20 pesos about $1.25. That's why they want money. On the return I paid with a credit card... More

The best $10 usa you'll spend on vacation and that's round trip from Puerto Juarez more expensive from hotel zone and not as frequent. Awesome ride ,service, and Caribbean blues! Usually live entertainment also, classic mexican musicians. And best yet you get off on an island! Don't forget our vacation is to someone else's home, be a good tourist and... More

Great ferry service. But don't book return ticket. Clean ferry, clean bathrooms. If the water is rough, hope that you don't have a weak stomach. The reason they say not to book a return ticket, is that there are several ferry companies, and the one you are booking may not return till a later time of the day. That means... More

We took the ferry from the port located next to the Barcelo Costa Cancun. It was pretty windy that day and there were some swells in the ocean. This caused the boat to rock side to side and from front to back. Made for a crazy ride. Even the caballero who was singing on the boat was holding on for... More

Very enjoyable ferry ride from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. 30-35 minutes. Boarding and exiting the ferry was very quick. Cost was $24 US for two people each way. For those of you who are worried about motion sickness, it was actually quite a smooth ride the day we went. Ultramar Ferry runs every hour.

My first trip on ferry to Isla Mujeres. I road downstairs going and it was a bit rough. On return to Cancun, I rode on top. We had a guy singing Spanish songs for tips. The view was awesome. Nice outing for family or friends.

Very efficient and they have a band playing during the ride. On time. So easy to get to Cozumel and spend the day there. Don't go if you get seasick, however, without taking dramamine or wearing an ear patch. We went on a very windy day and I felt pretty queasy. No fun to listen to "La Bamba" while tossing... More

I was told that visiting Isla Mujeres is an absolute must when you are in Playa del Carmen (or Cancun)--so we made our way out there. First, we took the ADO from Playa del Carmen to Cancun, hopped on a taxi, and headed to the Ultramar Ferry dock. The ferries leave about every half hour, and are pretty on schedule.... More

We took the ferry from Playa to Cozumel and back again the same day. I would recommend purchasing only a one way ticket because there are two ferry companies with different times. I purchased round trip tickets so I had to wait around for an extra hour instead of being able to go on the other ferry. The tickets cost... More
