Pancho's happens to have the perfect look and feel for a night in Merida. It is more expensive than other local restaurants, but it is for tourists. We were there with a sizable group and we sat "outside", under the stars. It really is a beautiful place. The service was excellent. If you do decide to visit Pancho's, get the... More

Thought we'd try it out. The food, while not terrible, was nothing better than you could get anywhere in the States. Burger was mediocre. Would be a good place when you're longing for expensive food from home.

The Food is great. Try the flaming coffee. The staff is great too. We always go to Pancho's when we are in Merida.

First of all, some of the experiences below are very inaccurate and I wonder if there were communication issues. I am definitely not fluent and heard no other problems from anyone else we met there. For happy hour special-you must sit at bar! Also, we went to Pancho's on the weekend (Fri - Sun) and got the 2 for 1... More

Not very good food and very touristy. Way too many great smaller resturants within easy walking distance of the main square. If your looking for the Tourist experience then it's ok..just Ok.

I am an octopus aficionado who has had Greek octopus dishes, Chinese octopus dishes and other octopus dishes at seafood restaurants in various cities in the US, Asia and Europe. I didn't expect to have such a tasty octopus salad at Pancho's. The salad was perfectly portioned, with octopus cut into bite size pieces along with the surprisingly good nugget-sized... More

We had a horrible experience at Pancho's. We were walking along the main strip in Merida when we saw a sign for Happy Hour (2 for 1) at Pancho's. Thought it was worth a shot so went along. We sat down and when the waiter approached we said we were there for happy hour. He said we couldn't sit in... More

A great location, near the main square. Set in tropical surroundings, extensive choice of typical Mexican dishes on the menu and so much more. Good ambience and, if you like the idea of drinking a Mayan coffee (or even if you don't), it is worth ordering just to see the great show they put on making a flaming coffee, involving... More

The hostess was very friendly and nice. The waiters didn't seem real interested in their jobs. The building is nice and comfortable. We tried the Sopa Azteca and Sopa Limon. Both were excellent. For our main course, my husband ordered an appetizer sampler plate and I ordered a chicken mole dish. They both seemed to have been prepared in a... More

I came here because a colleague wanted to eat here. In the place's defense, he likes it. I found it to be very overpriced. The drinks tasted like water and the food portions were ridiculously small and expensive, not to mention bland. There is also really nothing authentic about the place. It is a tourist-trap type place with little to... More
