I have been a lazy Spanish learner, mostly putting effort in when I go to Mexico every 10 years and take short duration language classes. I have made some progress over the years, but my short stay at Ecora helped get me motivated to try harder and I made some real progress! Since I left Mexico I practice with language... More

Working with the teachers Susana and Rosa helped me to feel more comfortable speaking Spanish. They provided excellent feedback and gave me valuable real life Spanish speaking tips. They were both very friendly, helpful, and patient. I would completely recommend Ecora. More

January-February 2011 The ECORA experience was magnificent, much more than we anticipated and a tremendous bargain for the cost. Our teacher Don Jose was outstanding. He was an excellent instructor, patient and clear-spoken; plus a very talented and charming person. We appreciated all our Spanish conversation sessions, the grammar instructions, learning Spanish through songs which Don Jose led with his... More

ECORA is a great little school in an excellent location in a most beautiful city. Very welcoming reception and comfortable learning environment. As a language teacher myself, I appreciate the excellent teaching curriculum with orderly and thorough texts. Don Jose Luis is a very experienced and efficient teacher; also fun and easy to be with. I appreciated that he determined... More

We used Ecora in our continuing study of Spanish worldwide. The course of study was 1/1 for three hours. Both teachers Daniel and Hiram were excellent. We learn differently and are at different places in our viaje and each teacher picked up our pace and ran perfectly. We didn't use the homestay but encountered no difficulty getting to school because... More

We enjoyed all our dealing with the ECORA Spanish Language School. Susana was prompt and helpful in all our email communications. We were placed with Sofia and her daughter in their lovely home. Sofia was very warm and wonderful to both my husband and I. I chose to stick with the immersion in the homestay and not go to classes.... More

Sofia did everything you could ask to make our stay with her pleasant and memorable. She met us at the bus, late at night, with a sign with our names on it. She had our room perfectly prepared and even showed us exactly which buses to take both to and from ECORA. She spoke to us in Spanish all of... More

I learned a great amount from my one month at ECORA. My teacher (HIRAM!!) was fantastic. I was the only student as it was the off season and initially the thought of spending 5 hours a day, solo, was terrifying, but I couldn't have learned as much as I did with other students there. I talked so much that my... More

I am an elementary school teacher and have many Spanish-speaking students. In order to better understand their culture, and to better communicate with their parents, I hoped to visit Mexico and improve my Spanish through an immersion method. I can read some Spanish, but carrying on a conversation is very difficult. There are many language schools in Mexico. I happened... More

I have recently returned from a 2-week stay in Merida, MX attending ECORA language school and living with a homestay family. I say it was a wakeup call because a full year of spanish at an American University does not equip you to converse in Spanish with native speakers of spanish. These two weeks made me realize how far I... More
