This is a small beach with a nice sheltered snorkelling area. 'Public' beach seems pretty small as big hotels seem to take over all the best bits. So if you don't want to pay over the odds for a drink you're left with a small patch of beach at the top of the island. It's ok. And frankly one of... More

Wonderful way to spend the day. We opted for a food and drink service where you had to spend minimum of 40 pesos per person and they provided private restrooms, shower, lounge chairs and umbrellas. You can find several of these places along the beach. You can also bring your own stuff and just set up a spot on the... More

If you are visiting Iska Mujetes for the day, Playa Norte is a must see stop. We rented a golf cart and toured the island. Our last stop was Playa Norte. We found it was easier to return the golf cart as there was not a lot of good parking at the beach. The sand is soft and the water... More

If you are lucky enough to find a chair, this is a relaxing spot for the day! We found a restaurant that offered chairs and service so we spent the day eating delicious food, drinking cold beers and enjoying the ocean. We only spent one day here out of the seven, wish we would have had another day.

One of the best beaches I have visited in the Caribbean, hands down. Crystal clear water, beautiful white sand and in some sections you can walk out forever without it going over your head!

This beach has the most pristine white sand beach in Cancun. No seaweed, no debris, just beautiful blue ocean and white sand. Relatively shallow, great swimming area.

Of course it is! It's a stretch of white sand and crystal clear water directly in line with beautiful sunsets! Improves once the day trippers have gone back to Cancun.

The beach waters were beautiful and peaceful at Playa Norte! You could walk out around 100 yards and still see the bottom as well as not be in over your head. Way cool! The beach was not ever very crowded or busy. There was a mix of locals and tourists at the beach which was also very enjoyable.

We are staying at the Villa del Palmar in the "new Cancun" area which is absolutely beautiful but the beach is horrible. Full of seaweed with rough cloudy waters. A friend who lives in the hotel district recommended taking the ferry to Isla Mujeres. She gave us step by step instructions to find our perfect spot. Here's what she said...... More

This is definitely the beach to visit when you're in Isla Mujeres! It's the kind of beach you dream of where you can walk out really far and still only be in waist deep water. The water is crystal clear. The best time to go is early morning until about 1pm. The big boats start coming in the afternoon and... More
