we had great snorkelling experiences at el farito. Lots of colorful fish and other creatures. First day we went there was a strong current. Second time it was calmer and hardly any current. It was a good experience for us.

Had a great snorkelling trip at the light house with the guide Adrian and the captain of the boat Jose. Saw a great deal from the virigin under the water to lots of fish life and corals at the lighthouse

This is where you are likely to see fish you've never seen before, the coral is large and stunning and it's not very deep. Be sure to book your snorkeling trip carefully as some charters hurry you along too fast.

When you get off the ferry the folks from the Fishing Co-op will descend on you to buy a snorkeling tour/lunch. Can't shop around because who ever you talk to first will follow you around. Quoted cost is 450 pesos or about $35 pp. After 15 minutes we were able to negotiate $30pp. Then waited over 40 minutes until they... More

We booked this trip thru Bombaritos trips at the Playacar end of PDC. Not recommended they were cute with exchange rates BUT was a great trip. SAMBA 2 Absolute party with music and drink flowing. The snorkelling over El Farito was one of the best 40 minutes I have ever spent plenty of fish and beautiful coral. Of course you... More

This is some of the best coral and snorkeling I've seen in a long time. Not like 25 years ago, but still very pretty with lots of fish and worth the trip out. We went with Captain Tony and he did a good job and was so sweet to our little children.

My family chartered a private 1/2 day of fishing and snorkeling. We were having such a good time fishing, by the time we got to El Farito, the crew was watching the time. It wasn't very crowded and our guide was very knowledgable about the area. In the brief amount of time that we had, our guide showed us a... More

We took a tour and were the only ones on the boat so we got great service from the tour company. The snorkeling itself was so-so. Lots of fire corral (which you don't want to touch) and limited fish. The coral reef isn't as colorful as what I have experienced in Hawaii or the fish as numerous. If you aren't... More

everyone said the snorkeling was great but I wasn't impressed. the guide that took us was ok. The best part of the day though I thought was when we stopped at the beach and ate some amazing fish that he grilled! the snorkeling was average....if you've ever been to Cozumel or anywhere like that you may be slightly disappointed but... Loved this....Saw an underwater statue of the Madonna and Baby....A ton of barracuda hanging around! Lots of parrot fish species too! Bad and high winds from the south made things a little less wonderful--but all in, really good value for $$$. Oh...Mexican National Park...so bring 20 pesos per person or $2US per person aside from boat fee. ($20 pesos is... More
