We selected Mundaca based on reviews and weren't disappointed. Our instructors were Alfonso and La Lou (spelling?). I have dove several times before (not certified) and this was my wife's first time. La Lou went through the basics with us, over all the equipment, hand signals, etc....then off to the boat. The water was very rough, and was actually the... More

Mundaca Divers accommodated 2 certified divers and 2 kids, one 8 and one 12. They did a wonderful job of providing the older kid with a Discover Scuba course and let the younger kid sit in on the classroom session. We went out on a combined snorkeling and scuba excursion which let everyone experience the reef and underwater museum off... More

Pro: friendly staff, good atmosphere. Price more or less fine. Cons: no food, only water on board. obligatory end of dive after 45 minutes, even if a lot of air (1600 psi) and time left. We dove as a whole group (with 2 guides), including people who made their first experiences under water instead of dividing us in two groups... More

I chose Mundaca after reading the tripadvisor reviews and also had a very good feel from them when I visited their dive shop in town. The staff were professional, organized, on time, and fun. Most off all they really seemed to care about their jobs and the clients. I had not dived in about 10 years but my instructor Alfonso... More

...joined a friend for a refresh / Discover Scuba Diving trip in February , had been 7 years absence for both of us…. started with a half hour of the basics, without getting too technical. Then out to offshore of El Castillo for a shallow water / 10' practice session, then out to Manchones Reef for 1 dive, about 40... More

We spent a week in Isla Mujeres. We did two dives. The instructors were great. We were very well taken care of. The water was beautiful and we saw a lot of sea life. We returned to the shop several times to ask for assistance with shops and places to eat in town. They were more than willing to direct... More

My husband and I went with Mundaca Divers on an amazing diving tour today - I tried the Discovery Dive and my husband was free diving. We can really recommend this diving center, the people are very nice, made good instruction before the trip - taking care of every individual the hole time, so you really feel save all the... More

My 17-year old son and I did the resort course with Mundaca divers after researching the local Isla dive shops. Mundaca's reviews were great, and we were not disappointed! Antonio was so helpful arranging our class, and Lallo and Alberto were fantastic dive masters. Their attention to safety was reassuring, and they went out of their way to help each... More

We had a great time with Mundaca Divers, and I have never gone with a more conscientious crew. I had a hard time clearing my ears and they were very patient. Did the exploratory dive with my beginner wife and they still took us on a two tank dive. Saw lots of cool sea creatures and had a memorable and... More
