If you go to the Island get your golf cart and get to the Soggy Peso. The people, location, bar, service, food and atosphere are great. We didn't stay there but you can in a really nice room...they only have 3 at a very reasonable price! We loved the place so much we started there went around the island and... More

After exploring a few different palapa bars on Isla, I ended up at Soggy Peso several times. Each time, the staff went out of their way to greet me by name and were friendly and welcoming to everyone. The bar area is cozy and intimate, so you'll be entertained by the bartenders and fellow travelers. If you're lucky, your fellow... More

My wife and I along with two other couples opened this bar one morning on a recent trip to Isla Mujeres. We were out for a mid morning walk as our early morning walk was shelved due to rain. We met up with the owner on the way by to visit the Yacht Club. On our return trip we stopped... More

Yoyo is one of the friendliest bartenders I have ever met. He makes a great drink (wonderful bloody mary) and made us feel welcome during our stops while on the island.

After reading the reviews this place was a must visit on my list when We were on the island... At first I was impressed by the look of the bar. There were alot of Americans at the bar so I guess that's why I didn't get the warm and fuzzies. The bartenders were rude and arrogant. The kitchen was closed... More

My girlfriends and I just came home yesterday from a week long trip to Isla and had a wonderful time at Soggy Peso!! We went there almost every day to visit our new found friends Freddy, YoYo, Goosy, and of course the owers Mal and Sally. The atmosphere is very laid back and reminds me personally of places you would... More

We have been to Isla multiple times over the last ten years, but last spring was the first time to the Soggy Peso. It is a little ways from the downtown area but well worth the cab ride. It has great atmosphere and great food. The day we went had cheeseburgers, and it was one of the best burgers I... More

Ate lunch there yesterday...had the combination plate for $135. There were 6 or 7 ribs loaded with meat, 2 pcs of chicken and some sliced polish type sausages. The dinner came with potato salad, corn/bean salad and cornbread. We could have shared as we brought home moat of my meat and had another meal last night. My margarita was $60,... More

We can never get enough of this place! This is not the typical big city bar and have made it one of first stops every trip. It reminds me of the bars back home where anything goes and everyone will have a good time. Always over served and the bartenders never let you down! And did I mention the ribs!!!!!!!!
