This was by far the best spot to swim on the island that we experienced in our week staying there. Would not recommend it for children or people who are not strong swimmers since there is a very strong current, but it's wonderful to play in the surf. We rented a car one day and sort of just stumbled upon this beach club by chance. So several days later we took a cab from Iberostar over to this beach for a few hours. WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE! We found lounge chairs on the beach, cold beer and shopping. I bought beautiful a beautiful dress for only $15. After... More

Food might be a little slow coming out but the fish tacos are WORTH it. And they make a good adult margarita. Nice place to sit and relax.

Was on cruise ship and wanted to go to beach. We were referred by others to check out Playa Palancar. My first time visiting and I truly enjoyed. It was very peaceful, not crowded, great food and margaritas.

We got the public ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel and hired a private taxi tour through Explora. Our taxi driver Antonio spoke good English and took us to several beaches and a Mayan site with an ancient Mayan ruin. We had nearly an hour at Playancar beach - lovely gently sloping beach, safe for swimming and lots of... More

I live here and go there often to have a beer and food while I enjoy there beach. You can rent some snorkeling gear or... More

Can't beat this dive, you will be amazed at the beautiful health coral heads and the sealife! We saw four splendid toad fish, thanks to our dive master Joshua from dive palancar!

Great secluded beach highly recommend!! Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Went out of the way to make our day relaxing and fun.
