A group of 6 got a driver for the day at $35 per person plus tip and explored a few beach options after settling for Playa Palancar. All inclusive was not worth it to us, prices here are so cheap that even with a full day of beers and food the bill was less than what an all inclusive package... More

We spent a day at this beach, it is a nice beach but it is very rocky. It is a seclude place so very quiet and not commercial at all. There is a little restaurant and we get to be served on the beach. Would recommend it if you want to visit a quiet beach. If you are arriving to... More

Went out with Pedro on a snorkel tour that was really nice. We went out on a boat and snorkeled a couple of the reefs south of town. Water depths were 20-30 feet, so if you are comfortable with it, you can dive down. At one point, as we where snorkeling along, there was a group of scuba divers below... More

Beach a bit rocky as you get toward the shoreline. Friendly staff and no cost to enter the beach. Hardly any congestion making a good place for families to enjoy.

I went last week and definetly I really, really liked it. I will go more oten whenever I stay in Cozumel. It is an amazing beach no even 5 stars resorts have that kind of beach. Its quite, you can practice hayak , I suggest you to go to the east side cause no stones and I think is better... More

This is almost at punta sur. the nicest beach around for a more authentic mexican vibe. No big water floating things, no annoying people, just a nice spot with great food. We went here 6 years ago and it is still similar which is nice as the rest of the braces have turned into beach clubs catering to the cruise... More

No entrance fee, wait staff very happy to take your order right from your beach chair. Empty chairs were a bit difficult to find, but once you do it is a very relaxing. The sand is white and soft, but the shoreline gets rocky as you wade into the water. The swim area is nicely roped off from boats, and... More

We drove our rental jeep around the island and Playa Palancar was one of our stops. The ocean was rough and yellow caution flag was up. Kids played in the sand for a bit. Chairs, tables and the usual all taken. Descent size restaurant/bar with friendly staff. Had a beverage and payed in USD. We headed out about 20 minutes... More

On a recent cruise vacation in March, 2015, we elected to rent a jeep in Cozumel and explore the island on our own. We were looking for a beach and just turned down a road that we thought would get us close to one. That's when we discovered Playa Palancar.... We got a great cabana next to the beach. The... More

Lovely place to relax, not a lot of people at all, easy to get a seat, saw wild peacocks, easy cab ride from ferry, good large drinks, clean bathroom facilities, professional picture taking oppurtunity with lovely frames, pretty water and very relaxing. The only thing is that going into the water is very rocky and hurts your feet. Think about... More
