We only went to this one beach bar this trip, but enjoyed the open and plentiful seating. The food was basic but tasty and the beers cold! Prices were very reasonable and there was no charge to come into the bar or beach. This is the last one before you get to Punta Sur.

We visited Playa Palancar a year ago while on a cruise and really loved it. The seating was good, as we were fortunate to be in the shade on comfortable "sling-type" chairs. This time, no such luck. The only chairs available were uncomfortable wooden chaises in the sun. When we tried to move them into the shade we were reprimanded... More

first of all I chose this particular beach for the positive reviews and because it was out of the way....since my wife was on crutches due to a recent foot surgery, didn't want to fight a too crowded beach. we arrived about 9:30 a.m. to not one single "welcome" walked out to some wooden beach loungers with very wide openings... Away from the crowds of Cozumel. $25 cab ride from pier (fixed price). Staff is helpful but not in your face. Drinks are $9 so bit pricey. I didn't eat there but my boyfriend enjoyed fish tacos and guac (good price). We went waiting some peace & quiet and that is what we found!

It is pretty far from the center of Cozumel. The beach is beautiful. The bar makes great margaritas. A walk along the beach is recommended - go to the small peer - it is beautiful and quiet. I didn't get to see anything when attempting to snorkle..

We've tried to do a different beach everyday and we've so 5 different ones and this one was our favorite. Not commercial at all. You need to know it. Beautifull view. The water is like a pool. The fish come to you, you don't need to look for them. People are nice and not anoying. Yes, we recommend.

We came to Playa Palancar as a shore excursion on a Carnival cruise. The beach was great; comfortable and secluded. The service was excellent and the food was very good. It was very enjoyable. The only complaint was the exorbitant price charged by Carnival.

This was the nicest beach we saw in cozumel! The food was good and the service was great! We enjoyed being able to eat and then walk on the beach and shop at the little shops on the beach.

We were surprised that it was free to get in! Very un-crowded, for most of the morning. We didn't eat there, but we snorkeled, and it was so awesome!! You just hop right in the water and see fish right away! Swim all the way out to the buoys, you won't be disappointed! Any structure will attract more fish, so... More

They have a nice beach area and the snorkeling adventure was AWESOME!! After returning it was very difficult to get a table or service. Several times now we have gone there and were the first ones out on the morning snorkel trip and it seems the waiters get an attitude with you if you do not order something right away.
