It had been a couple of years since my last visit and I'm happy to say I still love this place. While it is a $15 cab ride from town it's well worth it. No fees, just buy a couple of drinks. Quiet, peaceful, lounge chairs either in the sun or shade, hammocks, onsite massages that were heavenly (get deep... More

Playa Palancar was our favourite beach on Cozumel. Of the several beaches we tried and the many we passed, it has the most natural look & feel, with least plastic in evidence and most wood & thatch, even down to the sunbeds and sunshades. The atmosphere is more laid-back, with less hassle from souvenir stalls and sellers than at some... More

Great day at the beach! The water was beautiful and the service was great! I swam and sat on the beach and lunch was very nice! The drinks were good also!

We wanted something away from our cruise lines excursions. We met up with a taxi driver and told us to take us somewhere nice. We ended up here. We had snorkeling. Wonderful. The water was a little rocky on bottom though. Nice Bar with friendly staff. Happy with the choice.

We went to Cozumel on the Carnival Elation (another review, for another day) so we were only there for one day. We have stayed before and wanted to try to avoid the cruise crowd. The day we were there, there were either 4 or 5 boats in for a total port load of over 11,000! We got off the boat... More

We got off our cruise ship in hopes of finding our own Diving excursion. Our great taxi driver took us here. Everyone was extremely friendly, the beach was gorgeous, the diving was amazing. The dive master and boat captain for our charter could not have been better. Very one on one, personal customer service. We did a 2 tank dive... More

The family and I made our way to Playa Palancar last week after docking off of a Carnival cruise. We were going to the mainland, but a cab driver suggested this as a good place to go snorkeling. A quick 15 min. cab ride and we were there. Very quiet and comfortable setting for the beach club. Not crowded, wonderful... More

Took a taxi from the cruise terminal $20 to this lovely beach. Free access & sunbeds. Waiter service - drinks reasonably priced at $7 for a margarita (had 2 each !). Juices for the grandson. Taxi back no problem also $20. There were jet skis and non-motorised boats for hire but we didn't bother as grandson was having such a... More
