From the inexpensive, a bottle of Vanilla, to a Rolex Watch, this is a huge shopping area with very interesting shops

I enjoy shopping for trinkets- so I spent a fair amount of time here. Every place sells pretty much the same thing- so be sure to bargain down for the lowest price. I did encounter live music a few times, which was really great!

Love watching the kids lay in the fountain, lots of good eating around the perimeter, and relaxing just to sit and watch people. A bit annoying to deal with the restaurant steerers and the folks selling crafts etc, but it's Mexico!!

This used to be the main entertainment plaza on the island, however there is no longer enough room so much of the activity including Carnival performances is located at the Municipal Plaza. This plaza has a smaller stage for live music, a new fountain/splash pad to cool off in during the day, located at the ferry pier and has numerous... More

Not my favorite port but we had a fun time. Lots of shops. We didn't wander any further than the immediate shopping area. Plenty of options for souvenirs.

This is the first place you get corralled into when you leave your cruise ship. Basically it's just a large outdoor shopping plaza. It's the same typical cheap over priced stuff. With a few restaurants and jewelry stores tossed in. I was not impressed at all. I went to Mexico to see Mexico not just shop. Unless you do the... More

The central plaza is surrounded by shops and restaurants and has a little touch of local flair with a small clock tower and a statue. While it can get very busy around the edges, the center area allows for a brief escape from the crowds. Also it is currently decorated for the holidays.

Stop by and chat and barter with the locals. You'll find something you like for sure all while you feel safe and sound in the city centre. It's worth the trip. Wear you walking shoes. There are alot of places to stop in a visit.
