Surrounded by banks, retail establishments, the church, and many streets to wander, the Plaza makes a great base for families or groups to meet after exploring on their own . It is convenient to the ferry terminal and the transportation hub for San Miguel.

Yup, the same type of shopping arcade that you will find in most caribbean places, but we had fun with the adventure...new cultural art and beautiful creations - and lovely people. They were very friendly, and we did not find they were overly pushy. You can bargain with them, but we seldom do - they work so hard for what... More

Just a fun place to shop and walk, so much going on that it's difficult to see everything at one visit. Oh well, guess we have to back soon! Can't wait for another chance to visit

There is always something going on on this plaza. Peddlers with jewelry, street vendors with water, hats, sandals. There was a guy throwing knives and another one break dancing. You can get henna tattoo for $5 (or more depending how complicated it is). Plenty of bars to stop by for a cold cerveza or a snack. One can seat and... More

We lived the Plaza Central. So many things to see and do. The shops carry the same thing over and over. We came across some very aggressive salespeople. But the produce and food carts were great! Definitely a must!

Our first stop in four in the Carnival cruise of the western Carribean. Lots of shops to see. The prices are very reasonable.

We love to visit the central square on Sunday night. There is usually live music and dancing. If you really want to immerse yourself in all that the island has to offer this is a must do. The locals are dressed in their Sunday best and the whole family is out enjoying the festive atmosphere in the square. Everyone is... More

We visited the plaza after a tour on the island while waiting for the ferry on the San Miguel pier. This is the stop for the cruise ships so beware of huge early afternoon crowds as 2 or 3 a day come through the port. We were constantly pitched for sales at just about every shop. I understand they have... More

Really feel it has been over run by pushy sales people. Just go to Los Cincol Soles and avoid all of it

It's fun in the evening, after the cruise boats have left. There's almost always something going on...music, performances, etc. Especially Sunday nights.
