The shopping has certainly grown since the frequency of the cruise ships. Shopping on the main drag is like going car shopping. They hound you and they will even follow you. I suppose there are deals to be had, but I can't stand to be hasseled every 3 feet! We even had one guy yell " excuse me, you dropped... More

Lots of places to choose from.. The selections are amazing. There are plenty of places to eat. The view of the water right next to the center is beautiful.

Whether you are visiting Cozumel from a ship or a few days of R&R, Central is the place to shop, eat, dance, listen music or sit back and watch the tourist go by! In the evenings the central comes alive with live music, dancers, outdoor food vendors(which are amazing and reasonably price). The shops will close when the cruise ship leave. but... More

I had a good time here. My husband was with me & that was good as I would not have done this alone! I had no issues but I do not take unnecessary chances either! The local shops were fine & not overpriced, It was a fun thing to do for the afternoon. We were there in May of 2014.

a lot like other tourist centers for the cruisers. Many shops with pushy workers who attempt to get you to stop in their shops. Don't make eye contact and you'll be okay. Bars galore. By afternoon=plenty of drunks. Still. if your looking for a take home item=stop and always barter.

Not a lot but being harassed by locals to buy things. We would have skipped this if we could. We would not recommend it.

The Plaza Central is the center point of Cozumel. It is currently under construction, however it will be the first place you see when you exit the ferry terminal directly across the main avenue. When you go right from the ferry you are heading south to Cruise Ship terminals and south beaches. When you go left you are heading north... More

Don't wear heels girls until the construction is over! 7 months or so, but should be nice when complete.

As with most other cruise ports there are many vendors selling their locally made goods. After an adventure filled day it was nice to come back here grab a coffee and peruse through the stores to find some souvenirs to bring home to my kids. There are a few bars located in that area too so if you want to... More
