This is a great tour. The hosts at the Chocolate factory give you some of the history of the food and then you get to transform bitter beans into delicious chocolate - an amazing transformation. This is well worth going to. It is a bit hard to find, even for some taxi drivers, so allow plenty of time to get... More

We were taken into a room where we watched a video and told how chocolate was made. We then went into another room And made our own chocolate and then given samples and shopped for chocolates. There was no true "tour" of the factory nor did I get to see the workers actually making chocolate.

We were in Cozumel on the Carnival Sunshine last week and took our grandsons, ages 8 and 11 to Kaokao. They had such a good time. The 11 year old said it was his favorite thing from the whole vacation. This is very hands on. The kids ground cocoa beans, mixed sugar and vanilla with it, molded it into disks.... More

We had been to Cozumel before and were looking for something interesting to do. We searched and found a tour with a family owned Chocolate Factory, Kaokao. This was an awesome experience. The tour was informative and a lot of fun. We had the opportunity to make our own chocolate and watch them making their own. We found it takes... More

We toured CKF in April with our two teen boys. Although, the location is VERY hard to find, it is worth the effort. We had a great time and learned a few things about chocolate. You get to bring home chunks that you make for hot chocolate. It was fun to relive our tour while sipping our hot chocolate at... More

It was a blast. We made chocolate from scratch. The video at the beginning is very interesting worth taking time to watch it all. My kids loved turning the millstone it was labor intensive but they had so much fun

We have been to Cozumel many times, it's our favorite vacation spot! The experience our family of 4 had at the KaoKao Factory was a great new adventure. Our young daughters (5 and 7) enjoyed the history of chocolate, but of course, the highlight was making Mexican chocolate by hand from chocolate nibs. These excursions are what make trips memorable... More

We were warmly welcomed and the talk was relaxed but informative. Our little ones are under 7 and the lady tour guide was so good with them. They got to make chocolate and they loved it and we felt really special having 1 on 1 attention. We got to keep the chocolate that we made in lovely little presentation boxes... More

Our tour driver brought us here and it turned out to be a very neat spot to visit. We had the opportunity to taste all their different chocolate, which is amazing. We felt no pressure to buy anything, but we were not leaving without CHOCOLATE. I write this review as I am trying to save at least half of my... More

My boyfriend and I went to Cozumel in December of 2013. We got to the chocolate factory an hour ahead of schedule so we thought we would just wait and chat a while but the tour guide was SO nice he gave us the tour early!! The chocolate was delicious too!! Its a must do if you visit Cozumel!!
