Definitely make Kao Kao a part of your afternoon plans on your next cruise stop to Cozumel. The tour is only $15. I would recommend booking your tour online in advance as spots are very limited and can fill up fast if there are a lot of ships in port. Upon arrival, you're greeted by the very friendly staff and... More

If you are a chocolate lover this is a great tour, Learned so much history behind chocolate and even got to make our own! Visited the little shop after tour and prices were so reasonable.

My husband I went to KAOKA and took the tour Victor was our tour guide what a WONDERFUL educational tour. My husband is the chocolate lover in our family, but Victor had me in the middle of the making process. What fun it was. I've been coming to Cozumel for 13 years and this was my first trip to KAOKA.... More

Although somewhat hidden away in the nether regions of San Miguel it is well worth the trip. You will learn history, you will sample crazy amounts of esoteric and awesome chocolate flavors and you will get to make your own, grinding, shaping finally wrapping your own creation. The tour guide was informative, the space was beautifully laid out, highly recommend!

This was a highlight of our trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable about not only their business but the history of chocolate which was extremely interesting. The hands on lesson on chocolate bean grinding and making paste, leaving you with a take home item was great. They were also very generous in their chocolate tasting which only encouraged us to... Did not know this place existed until a family at the resort we were staying in was telling us about their experiences at the chocolate factory. Did not realize reservations were required for factory tour but luckily noone was booked for the 11:00 tour and we were able to make reservations onsite. The whole family had a great time!

I enjoyed the History background, as well as, making our own chocolate treats !! $15 bucks for hour tour,, great bargain too!! So of... More

We must have sampled almost 15 different types of chocolate and 2 different honeys. There was something for every tastebud...milk, white, and dark chocolate, chocolate for diabetics, chocolate with nuts and fruit, plus even one with peppers. It is fun. Even the soap at the sink smells like chocolate. They have a cute gift shop where u can purchase things... More

KaoKao Chocolate Factory is truly a hidden Gem of Cozumel. Do not be fooled by it's simple household appearance, this collaborative family business attraction is not one to miss. The tour is highly educational in exploring the complex history of chocolate. From the simple herbal remedies by the Ancient Mayans to the experimental creation of milk chocolate, KaoKao staff ensure... More
