We really enjoyed the chocolate tour at KaoKao! You don't actually tour a chocolate factory, but it is still well worth the visit. Ruby and Joshua were super friendly and informative. We loved hearing about the history of chocolate. Then getting to grind some beans and see the process was neat. And of course you get taste all the different... More

We visited the factory in Nov. and it was a really nice experience. The history of chocolate was presented in a very good fashion.. you could tell that chocolate was a passion of his! You get to see and smell cocoa beans in the various stages of "processing"... it was quite interesting. Of course, there are samples of a few... More

I visited KaoKao last week and at first when my parents suggested a "chocolate factory tour" I was not excited at all! Reluctantly I went and was pleasantly surprised! Joshua the owner/tour guide was a delight! You can tell that he is very passionate about what he does! The tour was very fun and interesting! Of course my favorite part... More

My mom and I went on the TOP CHEF cruise but didn't want to book an excursion through the ship so I went on this site and found Chocolates Kaokao, what an amazing time we had! We got their early and Joshue took us on the tour by ourselves. He is so informative and engaging when explaining the history of... More

We enjoyed this informative and interactive tour very much. Did not see the actual factory, but got the information of what goes on. (Probably due to health restrictions). Joshua is such a story teller, it is a fast 60 minutes! Samples are given with a chance to buy the chocolates at the end! We took several bars of chocolate home... More

My family was recently in Cozumel, a stop for our cruise. We visited the factory. I have never had a tour as good as this one. The couple who helped us were extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. The chocolate was unbelieveable. I purchased several varieties for my daughter and son in law. THey have a chocolate tea that smells and... More

I found this tour online and booked it before we left. It was the best thing we did in Cozumel. We got to grind our own chocolate and bring it home. After that, we were given a presentation on the history of chocolate. This presentation ended with a tasting of all the various types they manufacture there. Afterward, we were... More

After having visited Cozumel several times and done most all of the ship excursions - this tour was great! We printed out the map and gave to our taxi driver at the cruise terminal. (This is a definite must as he did not recognize the address, but drove directly there after reviewing the map.) $10 taxi ride for 4. The... More

If you have some time and are traveling with a mixed crowd (in regards to ages) drop by Kaokao. My wife and I went with her parents, my parents and her friends, so the ages varied from 20s to 60s. It was enjoyable and we learned some things about Cozumel and chocolate. We spent the day in Cozumel and did... More

We made a stop at the chocolate factory on a cruise stop in Cozumel. The tour costs $10 and lasts about an hour and you learn the history of chocolate in Mexico and get a chance to do hands on making of your own to take home and try. There is a gift shop; and tasting samples of the different... More
