Loved the history of how chocolate came about. Our tour guide was very hands on. He let us all make our own chocolate and let us take it home. Not a big chocolate person, but I must say it was delicious. Try the chili chocolate!

We decided to do this tour on our last day since we couldn't dive. So glad we did. As others have stated it can be difficult to find with the one way streets. The directions on the web site are accurate. The factory is small but in the process of expanding. Learned all about chocolate, how discovered to the different...

I found this attraction on Trip Advisor. I figured do something other than buy tequila and vanilla this time. My wife and her mother both enjoy making candies and baking so why not, the reviews looked good. We took a cab from the main shopping area to Chocolates Kaokao. It was $12 one way for the 6 of us. Once...

My wife and I had a great time learning about the Mayan culture and the history of chocolate, but the pure chocolate samples at the end of the experience were a great reason to visit as well. It is a smal facility, and the owner is just starting out, but he has a quality product that all chocolate fans should...

We found this place on TripAdvisor. It was an hour long tour. In this hour we were able to learn a lot about the Mayan culture and how the Kaokao seeds were used. We also were able to smell the seeds at different stages (fresh to chocolate ready). After the history lesson we went into a room and were able...

The experience at this (small) factory was awesome! Joshua was very energetic and you could tell he loves what he is doing. We got to taste the chocolate at various steps in the process and learned a lot. We got to grind the beans and hear the whole process explained including some history.

Experience the world's most delicious chocolate. A wonderful way to see how chocolate is made, sample a variety of chocolate bars and products, make your own chocloate, and buy for significantly less than in the port shops. The tour guides are extremely friendly, helped to arrange a taxi back to the port. The cab ride there is worth the trip,...

We were taken to Kaokao as part of a Cozumel Island tour and had limited time but in the 45 minutes we spent there, Joshua gave us a very good overview of the chocolate making process and we enjoyed some samples of their work which were not wasted on the chocoholics in the group! This small, family owned, boutique factory...

Loved learning the history and making chocolate. Tasting the different kinds of chocolate was also wonderful! I was worried my husband would not enjoy the tour, but he has been educating all of his friends with his newly found knowledge since we returned home.

We had such a great time with the family learning and experiencing all about how chocolate was made from the start to finish. Its a family owned business and you get the one to one experience. I am over 60 years old and learned that white chocolate isn't really chocolate amoung alot of other things. Their place of business was...
