Safety and an unforgettably enjoyable adventure are the utmost concerns with RZ Blue. The company offers the latest in modern and high quality diving equipment and boasts some of the best and most experienced divers in the world. RZ Blue is a family operation that carries on the traditions of its patriarch Ramon Zapata Sr., the pioneer of scuba diving in Cozumel and the first divemaster on the island.

My wife and I spend 4 days in Cozumel. We wanted 2 days of diving. My wife how-ever had gotten a little scarred of the diving, though having had more than 100 dives. Ramon and is crew gave her all the needed confidence back, through easy going positive attitude, with lots of smile and laughs Even the shop doesn´t look... More

We are return customers of Ramon's & this trip didn't disappoint! This is a great group & they work hard to make sure everyone has a great dive. We look forward to seeing you again in July or Aug!

While at Mr. Sancho's, we wandered over and found the small cabana that we were told would take us for snorkeling. The guys from Zapata's, especially Leo, were amazing! The took us to two different spots and we were able to see a stingray, a shark, a lobster, barracuda, and more. He even took some great pictures for me by... More

I did my Open Water certificate with Ramon during my stay in Cozumel. He is a very friendly and kind guy and an excellent, professional diver. As a teacher, he mostly focused on learning by practice; he has his own way to carry the courses (i guess he does not give the same course twice). On my first dive, we... More

Ramon is a great diver and a nice guy, but a very irresponsible teacher. My boyfriend was uncertified, and Ramon took him on a 70 foot dive for his very first ever dive. My boyfriend ran out of air during the dive and had to buddy breathe. We signed up for 2 morning dives- we were out from 10am to... More

I wasn’t planning on diving during my visit to Chankanaab, however after talking to the guides at Ramon Zapata’s I changed my mind. I was traveling with a non-diver, so I elected to go on a shore dive. The water was very clear and the max depth was around 25-30 feet. The dive was a lot of fun and included... More

The cost for 1 tank is $90usd. It was a very expensive dive, but I do have to say I was pleased overall. The reason why I was satisfied was because of the dive master (I think I had ramon). He was very fun to dive with and friendly. He is very helpful and pointed out a lot of stuff... More

Used them for a shore dive while in Chankanaab. Originally had talked to them about myself and son doing a dive. My son ended up not feeling well and they said "no problem" to a dive with just me and a guide. Price was $21.00 as I have all my own equipment. Everyone at their desk was friendly and helpful,... The only diving agency I found on any beach resort on Cozumel, Ramon Zapata at Mr Sanchos is one of two sites for RZ. It is located in the corner of the resort, a small hut that also takes deposits on snorkel equipment for Mr Sanchos. After multiple failed attempts to reach RZ via phone, I finally was able to... It is not only the amazing beauty that the reefs around Cozumel have to offer generously, but scuba diving with Ramon Zapata Divers was the most fascinating experience I have ever had! I am not a professional diver at all, but the information and equipment provided before diving was substantially enough to make me do whatever I wanted to do... More
