On August 4, my husband and I had our vows renewed in a Mayan Wedding Ceremony at Chankanaab Park. The park is a colorful beach park and full of adventure and main attractions. We did not have time to partake in all of the activities because our ceremony lasted 2 hours which included a 45 minute photo session, 30 minute... More

Although my large group enjoyed the beauty of the park, you need to realize how big of a tourist trap it is if you do any of the activities with the dolphins. You are not allowed to take close up pictures of kinfolks doing this. They take them and try to sell you an expensive photo package. One of our... More

My daughter and I went to Chankanaab Park for the day while on a Carnival Dream Cruise. We initially went to the park for the dolphin adventure swim. However, we got much more than that! We started the morning by going on a tour of the park while our guide entertained us with stories of local history. We didn't know... More

Enjoyed my snorkeling time there. Lots of fish and plenty of underwater landscape. Can swim with the dolphins also.

This was our very first cruise and excursion. The cruise ship arranged transportation to and from the park. Our guide, Ansel, was excellent. He made sure we knew all that we could do in the park. He made sure we were comfortable with the snorkeling but not overbearing. Saw several kinds of fish, statues and part of a wreck. He... More

We went the Chankanaab Park for the Dolphin and Sea Lion encounters. We got there early and went to the beach. It offered decent snorkeling but was very crowded. (this is a main spot the people from the cruiseliners go to while they are at cozumel.) If that is all you are doing it is not worth the high admission... More

All was worth it, just wished transportation from the cruise port was included with the price we paid for the swimming with dolphins and wished that there was not an additional fee to enter the park to watch our kids participate

We'd visited this park many years ago. However, it's become much busier and a haven for tourists. Since we prefer a more natural setting, we probably won't return again. However, if you're looking for a one-stop-shopping type of ocean experience for a day or part of a day, it might be perfect for you.

Here we swam with dolphins and it was an amazing experience. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Although pricey, the photos we bought were amazing and we are glad we have them. Get there early, do the dolphin encounter and swim with beautiful dolphins!

Fun snorkeling even for beginners as there is a life guard. Also there is underwater statues to look at. Water very clear so makes for great photos .. Plenty of fish even close in, so if your more comfortable close to shore this is fun for u too.
