This was a spur of the moment stop. We did not book ahead, just took a taxi from the port. We took a tequila tasting which was delicious and informative. Had the BEST massage right on the beach, lunch was perfect, but the best part was our guided tour from Felipe. He was so knowledgable about the Mayans. He also... More

I've been here twice and I've loved it each time. The park has replicas (or maybe some real) of Mayan Ruins but the guides are what make it special. Felipe is an amazing guide and he explains the history. There's a woman who makes homemade tortillas for us. There's also captive alligators, the best tequila ever and a gorgeous beach.... More

Lots to do! We went with a guide from our hotel in Cozumel. Snorkeled, swam w dolphins, had some excellent margaritas made right in front of us, sampled tequila. There was a zipline too but we did not do that. Would definitely recommend.

We are certified divers but came here when my husband had a problem equalizing due to a minor cold. The water is less than 30 ft deep, but we saw just as many varieties of fish on the Chankanaab reefs as we did further out by boat. There was a small cave there as well that we explored. For $90... We visited the park to do a shore dive and had a great time. Also saw the sea lion show which was fun. There is not a lot of shade, so bring plenty of sun screen and a hat. Fair amount of walking to get to the dive shops from the entrance.

This is the 3rd time we have visited this park. We usually only have a day to spend here since coming by cruise ship. Plenty of shaded spots with chairs at no additional cost to you. The admission fee has went up over the years but looks like they have put it to good use. Awesome servers willing to get... More

Chankanaab is a combination "national park" and "adventure beach park". Honestly, it was an awesome place to spend the day! We printed a $2-off coupon before leaving Canada and entered for $19 per adult. We visited it on the day our cruise ship was in Cozumel for the day. Our ship had "shore excursions" which included Chankanaab; but, we just... More

There is a lot to do here for the day. The snorkeling is excellent. Make sure you check out the area where the fresh water meets the salt water. They have two statues you can dive down to. The park also has a mayan area. Our guide was excellent. Highly recommend visiting this for a day.
