As the title says ' Its a long way up ! ' But worth it. I do not recommend this for anyone with walking difficulties, I think I counted 133 steps and they are narrow and winding as you would expect. The view from the top however is breathtaking. Also enjoyed the museum, especially the bit about British piracy !... More

133 steep steps up reward you with amazing views. We missed the tutrle season - but enjoyed the museum and walking the beach.

Great viewing spot for photos of the east side beaches and Columbia Lagoon. Museum offers insight into mariner facilities from many years ago. Good snack spot and photo ops.

Surrounded by beautiful blue water, the vistas are spectacular! Climb up to the look-out point at the top the lighthouse and take in the 360 degree panoramic view. Then there's the beautiful white sandy beach with launch chairs and hammocks where you can relax; a couple of restaurants are scattered over the park area for easy access. Just a nice... More

We toured the Punta Celerain Lighthouse on our own. They have a very interesting museum, and the view from the top of the lighthouse is well worth the climb up 136 stairs. The beach is amazing, pure white sand and large crashing waves. It is fun to explore the area on your own. We took time to lay in a... More

On one of your beautiful days rent a jeep or car and drive around the island. Be sure to take a right on the beach at Caseta de control. Here you will enter one of the islands preserves. You will be able to swim on the beautiful beaches, visit the crocodile wetlands, see El Caracol ruin and visit the lighthouse.... More

My wife and I were fortunate enough to visit the Punta Sur Park. It was beautiful and definitely worth a visit. There is also a place to snorkel off of the beach and you can swim out to the reef. Make sure you take an underwater camera and if you aren't a good swimmer you should also take your own... More

We visited the lighthouse (June 11) on our recent trip to Cozumel. From the El Cozumeleno Hotel it cost $60 for 3 of us to taxi to the south end of the island--about a 30 minute drive. It cost $10 to get into the museum and lighthouse. The taxi could only go so far and then we had to take... More
