I am a big fan of lighthouses and climbing each one I can! This one did not disappoint at all!! As others have stated, it is a steep, narrow staircase and you have to "climb" (or crawl) through a small opening at the top but it is WELL worth it if you adore lighthouses!!!

Steep, narrow staircase to the top. Beware if claustrophobic and there are a lot of people! I waited until I knew that I wouldn't see anyone else on the way up and could climb and stop at my leisure...and the view from the top made it all worth it. Wow, is all I can say. The beauty of Cozumel is... More

I loved this old lighthouse. The view at the top is breathtaking. Be careful of the small steps. Few people, away from the crowds of the town of CZM. Keep going past the lighthouse to the beaches and thatched hut restaurants. It is a real treat. Few people there. Uncrowded beaches. I hate tourist crowds. This is the place to... More

Part of the Punta Sur park admission, at $20 a head there is little to do but see a couple of alligators and walk up the stairs of the lighthouse. It is a beautiful view of the ocean side of the island.

I came here last week with 3 other people so it was $56 just to drive up to the lighthouse. They said snorkeling, chaise lounges, and a boat tour were included. We got inside and discovered the last boat tour was at 2 and would have had to rush to make it there so we missed that. Next we decided... More

The climb up is pretty easy, but there is a very small hole to get through once you get to the top to get outside. Incredible view! Some shopping for black coral was encouraged, which was pricey but nice.

You can climb to the top of the lighthouse if your able. My wife and I were not. However walking around the area is also beautiful. There are three shops there. The middle one is where you'll get authentic black coral. Jill bought a pair of black coral earrings. Our next stop was a snorkel outing near the lighthouse were... More

This is a fairly deserted old lighthouse and lighthouse keepers home, now occupied by what seem to be 'squatters' ~ who do have Cokes and tasty tortillas for sale. It is a special old structure, the home was once elegant, now in great disrepair. The lighthouse is not functional, but you are allowed to climb to the top (fee) and... More

We stopped at the lighthouse during our jeep tour. Nice little shops, swings to sit on, with a cocktail from the bar. Climb to the top if you can. Views are wonderful.

The steps are really small, and the staircase in narrow, but it really isn't that hard of a climb. We did it after a 2 hour snorkel, so it's not hard. The views from the top make it worth every step!
