We have been coming to Playa Corona for several years, it is by far the best shore snorkeling on the island. I don't know what people are talking about, a charge to be there? You SHOULD get something to drink or eat to use the the facility, that's common sense! How do you think the place gets maintained? They provide... More

This is just a little place, looks kinda dumpy from the road, but the snorkeling is better than in front of many of the hotels. The fish are close to the shore and out by the bouys. Be sure and swim out to the bouys, as that is really where the snorkeling action is.

We loved the excellent authentic food, cold beer, good service, laid back atmosphere. Not crowded and noisy. Decent snorkeling. Rest rooms and showers. Five minute $13 taxi ride from downtown Cozumel. We had delicious fish tacos, chips and salsa, 4 Coronas, bottled waters, and snorkel gear for $42. We stayed about 4 hours and had a great time. They took... More

I hate to say this - but the place is tired. We were on Cozumel for a day. Took a car rental and drove around ending up here for a late lunch or early supper. We had intended to snorkel but had run out of time. We ordered the Fish taco - it was to say a word - superb... More

Visited in December 2014 while on cruise. Construction on roof made the beach noisy and full of sawdust. That was not so much a problem as we just wanted to snorkel. We rented snorkel equipment and paid cash as we were told credit card was not accepted - even though they sign said they accepted them. At the bar, we... More

you will need to pay $5 if you don't buy anything... but a beer costs $4.50.. so make the math :-) Nice snorkling to be done, nice staff, had a massage and really appreciated everything. Went a couple of time within our week vaction

I stopped in here on my bike ride. Right away, I was greeted by a friendly little old waiter. What a doll! The place was quaint and clean. I counted three hammocks near the water and lot of plastic tables and chairs under palapas. The water was really pretty but rocky. It looked great for snorkeling but there wasn't a... More

Playa Corona is really close to the cruise port. We could have rented bicycles and ridden (and it would be relatively safe because there is a beach road that has a bicycle lane).   We may have just not found the right area in the water, but there were almost no fish or coral and we swam about 50% of... We rented a car right off our cruise ship and went to this highly rated snorkel spot. We were not told to pay a cover charge and snorkeled and then ordered lunch and had a practically secluded time to enjoy our lunch away from the crowds down town. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. We drove around the whole... More

We went here on a tour/excursion. The snorkeling was just okay with not really that much to see. The food service here was extremely slow. There are much better places to snorkel and eat.
