The History Museum was very interesting, both inside and out. There were 1/25 size extremely well done mockups of many of the temples and Carmen explained the calendrical importance of each one. She also introduced us to the history of religions and governments of Mexico with the aid of additional mockups of churches and federal government buildings . Local young... More

My husband just got back from a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Legend and one of our stops was Cozumel and we went on an excursion to Discover Mexico Park and then snorkeling in another nearby park. It was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend both and our guide Ruy was great. Discover Mexico Park gave a history of... More

I will say that the people that work at Discover Mexico work very hard and were full of information on the history of Mexico and all the cultures that reside there. We just found the scale models of the ruins to be kinda cheesy. There were several spots where you stop and they try to sell you things. I wouldn't... More

We chose this shore excursion during our NCL cruise in January, 2012. We paid $59 per person. That price included the van transportation to the park, a ten minute film about Mexico, a tour of a small but interesting museum of Mexican art and artifacts, free time to view the many miniature displays of famous sites and buildings from all... This is a wonderful and educational way to learn about the Mayan, Aztec, Inca and Spanish civilizations of early Mexico. Our guide was highly educated and intelligent. She was able to answer our questions and elaborate on the slide/video presentation given at the beginning of the tour. We spent about 2 hours at the park and enjoyed the food of... More

This was neat, but certainly not the highlight of our trip. We most enjoyed the traditional dancers that climbed the post, and twirled to the ground. The art inside the museum was nice, and the Mayan replicas were a great way to get a sense of what the Mayans were like. If you are interested in how Mexico evolved into... More

We had a cloudy day and decided to give Discover Mexico a try.. somehting that has been on our list for several years. It doesn't look like much from the outside, however, it is DEFINITELY worth doing!! The 4 screen slide show at the beginning is worth seeing at least 2 times.. the pictures are beautiful and fascinating. After the... More
