We stopped here the day we rented a car because I had heard and read such great things about it. Honestly, I was not that impressed. Playa San Francisco was loud, crowded and overrun with "beach clubs" that charge you for everything from parking to chairs and towels. The beaches are public and supposedly free, but the beach club guys are pretty pushy. If you have kids, the beach clubs have inflatable climbing "walls" that seemed popular with the children. Excellent quiet beach for sunning and snorkling. Good food and drink served right on the beach. Excellent stop for the day off the cruise ship. Not crowded at all!!!! more
