We lucked out (totally by chance) by going on a Sunday. No cruise ships depositing thousands of passengers in town or on the beaches. No charge for lounges or umbrellas, just a modest food/beverage minimum. Water was great, clean beach, lots of fun water apparatus to add to the enjoyment.

We visited here on Oct 4th. It is basically the same type of place as Carlos and Charlies which is directly next door. Only Playa San Francisco (San Francisco Beach Club) has a swimming pool. The water was a little cloudy on this visit but not too bad. This is what I found out about the vendors there: You can... More

I have traveled 4 times to Cozumel; this was the first time I visited PLaya San Francisco. Yes, the water was not as clear as other beaches were, but it certainly was NOT dirty. I could still see my feet! The water toys were awesome. Beach chair and umbrella was very comfortable and very much appreciated. YEs a lot of... More

Don't be fooled. The sand has not been combed so the beach is trashed with cigarette butts etc. In order to get to the attractions, you have to walk on rocks. The bathroom reminds you of an outhouse and they charge you to use the facilities including the restroom. They don't tell you about the additional charge until you get... More

My husband and I visited San Francisco beach bar while in Cozumel. We arrived in Cozumel via the Carnival Elation. We did not book an excursion though Carnival. We got off the boat and hailed a taxi. We told the driver we wanted to go to a nice beach. The beach is about a 10 minute drive from the International... More

If a previous reviewer thinks asking a customer to spend 10 bucks per person on food aand drink, they are really going to be upset when they try Paradise beach. Paradise is 3 bucks to enter, 15 bucks for a beach chair, 15 bucks if you want to use the floating things and kayaks on the beach and then spend... More

We were rudely greeted in the parking lot by a sign that says you must spend $10pp in order to visit. We had such a fun visit in 2000 where we probably spent $20pp, but an unwelcoming sign that doesn't say "suggested money spent is $10per adult" was a sad greeting. Glad we left and went to Punta Sur and... More

A group of 8 of us Grabbed a taxi in search of a good beach. The taxi driver pushed this beach, even though we asked to be taken to Paradise beach. He told us that due to weather, Paradise beach looked bad and that San Francisco beach was free. He mentioned something about Free but we might consider purchasing food... More
