Description: Come on down to Cozumel for the best drift diving experience on the...
Come on down to Cozumel for the best drift diving experience on the Island. We depart from the Marina Caleta at 9:00am getting in the water for the first dive around 10:00am. On our dives we avoid other dive groups and concentrate on the pristine areas. We will take you to some of the magnificent wonders of Cozumel National Park and seldom traveled reefs. Our dive program is computer based and allows the divers to manage their air consumption up to 75minutes, including a 3 minute safety stop on a buoy line at 15 feet. Our boat will be there to pick up divers as they finish their dive. The first dive is the deepest. After 90 minutes surface interval at a quiet beach where a delicious fresh mexican lunch buffet style is served, we will be heading to the second dive site, a shallower dive, again for 75 minutes. We return to the dock mid afternoon. Dive Masters are there to assist as needed, find and point out turtles, nurse sharks, eagle rays, splendid toadfish, and other elusive creatures. We are glad to help you improve bouyancy and air consumption, and to make sure you safely ascend to the surface at the end of your dive. Usually there is a dive master in front of the group and one at the end. We are safety conscious but try to be unobtrusive. Divers are expected to be responsible for their own actions and dive profiles. Since 1982 Careyitos Dive Team has always been comitted to Cozumel`s coral reefs and its marine life, taking action and participating in conservation efforts long before designated a National Marine Park. The Team’s proactive and service oriented attitude makes for a comfortable dive experience on the boat and underwater. We offer also free gear care, wash and storage. The Boat Careyitos is a Twin engine 40 foot Bertram refurbished for diving, Covered Deck with plenty of room for gearing up, Sun Deck, Galley & Head, Sink and fresh water Shower. Modern Aluminum Windows and Wind Break Curtains, Large Swim Step with two ladders for easy entry & exit. We can take up to 17 divers but we like a Maximum of 12 Divers. Anchored in the Caleta Harbor which is 3.5 km south of town, local taxi is the best way to get there. Our storage place is conveniently located at the corner of the main building turning right once at the Marina entrance.

Another Great Trip

They always work to find me great pictures. I have attached a few of the many taken this past trip. The Flying Gurnards were a special treat.

These guys have a very responsible and attentive crew. First off, they tend to all of your equipment while you do nothing but chat with other divers. They spend a considerable amount of time cleaning and prepping your mask so it doesn't fog, which by the way mine was crystal clear for each dive. Gaspar helped us into and out... More

Our local dive shop recommended Simone and his team at Careyitos for our diving experience at Cozumel, and we are very glad that they did. Simone and his team are complete professionals and they KNOW how to operate a dive boat in the most efficient, fun and attentive manner. We were diving for the first time in the ocean and... More

My wife and I spent 3 great days diving with Advanced Divers, we are beginners in this sport and we were concerned. Sky, (Dive master) took good care of us from the beginning.Everybody on the boat were great, Ricardo and Tony, showing us marine life and very good guides. Simone and crew were really amazing! Everyone is very knowledgeable. I needed assistance during the first dive. Simone saw what was going on and came right away to help. Communication and teamwork were excellent. We had three more beautiful dives after that. Really well rounded dive planning, reasonably priced. I'm excited to dive again with them!

I visited Cozumel on holiday and actually found Careyitos through Tripadvisor. Right from initial enquiry I found Simone to be on the ball, polite and knowledgable. The boat was very comfiortable with a friendly helpful crew - they moved bcd and regs onto second tank while you were getting out of dive gear. the lunch was good also. Simone was... More

I dove with Simone (dive master) and crew for my advanced dive certification. As it was my first time diving in several years, Simone reviewed the basics with me, from BCD and equipment check to safe ascent/descent. Everything went swimmingly from there. Simone discussed the advanced cert theory as well as its practical application with me on the boat, and... More

Simone Rossini runs the BEST dive operation on Cozumel! Schedule is relaxing . . . You have time to eat breakfast before arriving at Caleta for a 9 am go. Dive as long as your air/computer allow. Simone's system allows divers to surface as they run out of air/time. If you have air/time, you can continue to dive :) Nice... More

Simone and crew are the best. Having dived all over the world but never the Mecca of Cozumel I had high expectations of the dive sites. Cozumel proved to be one of the best dive destinations, what I didn't expect was to get the best operation as well. Hats off to Careyitos, Simone you looked after everyone in true expert... More
