We visited Stingray Beach in February 2013. We book a "Stingray/Beach Club" excursion through the Stingray Beach company directly. They advertised this experience as a "Pet the sting rays, and enjoy our private beach and beach club afterwards." Here is the problem...there is NO beach, and NO beach club! They tried to tell us tha the "beach" were all of... More

The tour includes a snorkel with the stingrays and assorted fish and an encounter in shallow water where you get to feed, touch and pet the stingrays. Their barbs are taken out so it's totally safe. You do need to know how to swim in order to snorkel which is in deep water. The beach is in enclosed area in... More

We visited Stingray beach as part of our resort credits from the Cozumel Palace. The day of our visit was a Sunday in February so it was not too crowded. Apparently the cruise ships do not dock on Sunday. The seas were unusually choppy as well. That likely kept a bigger crowd away. My wife and I really enjoyed our... More

It’s not a big area to wonder around, but good enough for first timers. All the equipment were fully prepared. It’s short and sweet.

We don't like to be around large groups of people but we thought since we were in Cozumel - might as well see what all the attention to this area was about. Well, it was ok. We did see a couple of stingrays - but the area was crowded (like we expected). The view was nice but a few minutes... More

Amazing how we were really being interactive with the stingrays and learning about them and their ways through three of the funniest Mexican boys (cute too) What safe and docile these beautiful animals are. They made it fun and we really interacted with the animals both by snorkeling with them an then playing wth them during the presentation.

This is no way to treat wildlife - worse than small private zoo (only under water). Very crowded with humans just about every day

It was so fun being in the water with the stingrays. The water on the sand bar was beautiful and the sand was white. It was quite an experience.

We swam with the rays. You can swim in deep water and watch them as they move around and or go to shallow water where they educate you about sting rays and give you a picture opp. After they has for the kids a hermit crab race.

We visited Cozumel Jan. 26 th to Feb. 2nd and took in the Stingray Beach Attraction. The cost was $55 per person which is reasonable when comparing to other venues/attractions in Cozumel. Our tour guides were excellent, and having the rays bump up against our legs for food, letting us stroke them and hold them was pretty darn neat! This... More
