We decided to go to Playa Mia mainly because of the inflatable playground out in the water. The playground was fun and challenging and well supervised so it lived up to expectation. We paid $30 each just for admission to the park (we did not sample the food or drinks) and took a cab from the Puerta Maya cruise ship... More

We went here as an excursion from our Cruise. The beach itself was clean and well kept. The waiters did very well bringing us drinks, making sure we were properly hydrated. the food buffet, though, left a lot to be desired. Definitely, not the best. The swimming area was also not very good, so we just concentrated on the sun,... More

Chef Luis, Moises, and Angel did such a great job orchestrating the class and teaching us how to make some real Mexican food. They showed me that it doesn't take a ton of ingredients to make a tasty meal. I wish I could pick a favorite part of what we made but it all came out so good. I highly... More

My wife and I attended a Mexican Cuisine cooking class as a shore excursion. The class exceeded our expectations. Chef Luis was excellent! He made the class fun and informative. We learned to prepare a shrimp appetizer, a grouper main dish and a plantain desert. The food was delicious and a great way to illustrate that Mexican food is more... More

We used Playa Mia as our beach day while in port on a cruise for many years while our kids were young. There is a water park, beach toys, shopping and even took a cooking class here. The atmosphere is fun and loud and usually busy. It was a great option for us while our kids were younger. In the... More

This is an excellent facility for all ages. There is a great little water park for young kids, plenty of toys on the beach for older kids and families, and sunny as well as shaded areas for those that come to relax. The food and beverages were excellent. There were lots of friendly helpful staff members. The grounds and spacious... More

Recently spent 4 hour excursion at this park while on a cruise. Great food and activities. Drinks were plenty but weak. Very clean but part of shopping area under construction. Wifi was free but could never get connected. Great beach waiter service !! Definitely would go again.

We took the 2 1/2 hour cooking class at Playa Mia as our port adventure on a one day cruise stop in Cozumel. Our cook Luis was great - very personable and a wonderful cook and teacher. We made a 3 course meal that included a chicken or shrimp appetizer, checkin of fish entree and plantains for desert. Drinks were... More
