I am never someone to write complaints, I would rather take the time to focus on positives and for playa mia I have none. We were looking to have a relaxing day at the beach and to be able to swim and enjoy the caribbean water for the first time, but that's not what we got. When we arrived the... More

Last week, was our second time visiting Playa Mia. We had a great day at this beach and wonderful, warm sunny weather. They have added so much since our last visit in 2012! Water slides (big and small) and an entire obstacle course in the ocean. We enjoyed the ultimate package that included transportation from the cruise port (NCL Dawn)... More

My wife and I were really looking forward to this final excursion on our cruise and the staff did not disappoint. From the International Pier, it is a short walk to the El Cid hotel. An attendant checked us in at the front door. After walking through the lobby you exit near the Dive Shop and board the catamaran. Approximately... More

A bit crowded, but a nice beach. About a 20 minute cab from cruise ship terminals; $18 from the NCL one. They do a cooking tour here as well as several day passes that have options (buffet lunch, open bar, etc.). Nice day trip from the ship.

My 82 year old mom is in a wheelchair and from the time we were met at the dock until we arrived back after a wonderful afternoon, we were treated like royalty! One of the staff, Miguel pushed Mom from the beach to the pool and came back every 30 minutes to see if we were ready to to return... More

The water obstacle course is fantastic, but can get super crowded when the cruise ships are in port. Go Early! The food is average! A fun excursion, but expensive!

Playa Mia is a fantastic place to take your family for a day of sun and fun in Cozumel. Playa Mia is located about a 20 minute taxi ride from the cruise terminal. It offers a huge floating structure, a nice pool and a couple of 'getting tired' waterslides. The staff is fantastic. Buffet is what you would expect. Lots... More

My family and I enjoyed this tour last week while we cruised on the NCL Epic. From the port, we walked a short distance to the Playa Mia stand. Soon thereafter we boarded a boat that took us to the snorkeling spot (Palancar reef) about 1 hour away. The ride was enjoyable with party music and free flowing soft drinks.... More

This is an awesome place for kids. We had so much fun especially when we went snorkeling. Divemaster juan was amazing. He showed my 8 year old son the wonders of the ocean and he doesnt know how to swim that well. Would highly recommended it.
