My husband, soon to be missionary son, and I spent three great days with Carlos. He was a fantastic guide and teacher. We took the Chichen Itza & Balam, Coba & Tulum, then down to Kinich Na Dzibanche tours. Dzibanche was a profound experience, and we're all SO glad we got to experience that Very special place. I would wholeheartedly... More

Booked a private tour with Nefi to Coba and Telum. He was great with the kids sharing and captured their attention by using the scriptures and historical information to help them understand the ancient American people. We will definitely use Nefi's services on our next trip to Cancun. The Thomas Family

We had a full day: Coba ruins, lunch, Tamcach-Ha Cenote (a swim in an underground cavern) and finally a visit to the Tulum ruins. Carlos is an expert tour guide with a degree in archaeology and was able to answer our non-stop questions about the area and its history. We came away with a desire to read more and to... More

We had friends tell us wonders of guides Lemuel and Carlos and we where really excited for our tour, but we did not get the great experience with Lemuel son. Don't get me wrong, he is a good kid, return missionary, and knew enough to give a decent general tour, but still not what we had hoped for and hardly... More

This's tour was the highlight of our trip to Cancun. Carlos was the best guide ever. His archeological and anthropological knowledge and insight tied Mayan cities and temples with those of Jerusalem. It was unbelievable and fit perfectly with the Book of Mormon. We will be back and book more tours with him.

Our two days with Lemuel were the highlights of our Christmas vacation. We enjoyed the ruins at Tulum and particularly the insights that Lemuel shared with us. We loved our adventure to the Mayan village...the solitude, zip lining and swimming were a perfect break from the busy resort. We loved our time so much, that we booked a 2nd day... More

We embarked on 3 different tours with Carlos from Mormon Encounter LDS Tours. With each tour, Carlos shared his insight and incredible knowledge into the Book of Mormon and we were able to spend time reading from the Book of Mormon while we traveled. We had new first time experiences of a lifetime each time we went out with him.... More

We took two tours with Lemuel Petlacalco. There were 12 in our group. First tour - Chichen Itza, Ek Balam. Lemuel was very informative, showing us pictures along the way. I appreciated that he always told us what was a "guess" and what was "fact". I loved hearing his life experience and the growth of the church in Mexico as... More

We took the Chichen Itza, Ek Balam tour with Lemuel Petlacalco. It was amazing! Lemuel is such a gracious and enjoyable host. His knowledge of those sites is unparalleled. I wish I'd been taking notes as he talked. I've come home and recorded as much as I can remember. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience. You will not be disappointed!!!

Reading the book of Mormon will be enriched with these gems of knowledge that we gained.
