We stayed in Cancun and decided to take the UltraMar over to Isla Mujeres for the day. We walked to the terminal and they informed us they weren't operating out of the one we were at so they would bus everyone to the next one. We bought the golf cart for 4 from this company while there also. The bus... More

This is a wonderful operation to and from Isla Mujeres. Both sides are extremely helpful when transporting luggage. The free shuttle certain hotels offer are only for timeshare listeners.

Good value for a day trip to Isla Muheres. There were buskers who entertained while ferrying over but they competed with the piped in music from the internal cabin PA system which was kind of weird. We sat up top coming back and had an entertaining Mariachi dude. It was hilarious watching him try to remain standing.

If you are in Cancun, worth the day trip to head to Isla Mujures. You can take the bus for 10 pesos in the hotel zone to any of the three ferry locations. Once you get there, you can rent a golf cart and explore the island. Totally different experience and vibe vs Cancun. The cost to leave from the... More

Pay in pesos, as the exchange for dollars costs about an extra 20%. There will also be a mediocre "mariachi" on board who seeks tips on the trip over. On the first round, the mariachi actually had a guitar, on the second trip he had a crappy karaoke machine that was almost unbearable. If you're going to isla mujeres and... More

We spent a week at Isla Mujeres, and took the ferry for three round trips as we visited a few Mayan ruins. Each time it was prompt, clean, and gets you there in 15 minutes. It leaves every 1/2 an hour on the half hour. We were a bit put off by the luggage handlers the first time, they are... More

Starting from Puerto Juarez this is the best way to get to Isla Mujeres - if you're around the port or have a car to get there.

Used Ultramar to go over to Isla Mujeres. Decent price ($19 roundtrip)... prompt and on time. You can sit on top outside which I liked. Smooth trip. Line gets VERY long for ferry over to Cancun from Isla Mujeres near 4:45/5 so get there early and line up.

This is the easiest way to Isla Mujeres. Very convenient leaving every half hour starting at 5am from Puerto Juarez and 5:30am from Isla Mujeres. You can enjoy a nice day trip to the beautiful island (Isla Mujeres) for just 146 pesos round trip. You arrive within half an hour and you can enjoy the island up till the last... More

Well worth the trip and very inexpensive. Get in line early to get a seat up top as it fills up fast especially in the morning. Beautiful scenery, jets you over to Isle of Mujeres from Tortuga port just lots of fun.
