Very nice ferry ride to the Island - about 20 minutes. The mariachi singer was a nice touch but it was hard to hear him with the wind and the sound of the boat.

Fun and convenient service (their dock was very close to our hotel) to Isla Mujeres and back, although we were pretty frustrated with how disorganized they were when it came to which ferry was headed back to our port at the end of the day (as there are a few different ferries going to all different ports up and down... This is a brilliant day out and the isle of mujeres is a must see. The cost is 19 dollars each and is a cheap day out Don't hire the golfcaddy on the boat as it's cheaper on the island

Hard to get there any other way. A quick trip to a totally different experience from Cancun. Really need to go, if even only for a day.

$19 leaving from three ports. Can return on ANY boat (to any port) and just take any #1 local bus for $9.50 pesos ($1 US) back to your hotel. Some of the boats have limited return times. It is cheaper to buy in Gran Puerto way north (20 min bus ride) but still a $1 bus ride through the locals... More

First be sure you take the ferry from Gran Puerto in Puerto Juarez, it is faster (15 to 20 minutes) than the one from the hotel zone (30 to 40 minutes) and costs 80 pesos each way (a little over $7 USD). The ultramar from the Hotel zone at playa tortugas is about $14 USD each way. Their website shows... More

We were able to purchase round trip tickets in advance at our resort and ride the local bus to pick up the ferry. Nice clean boat with open air outside seating or comfortable indoor seats in An air conditioned cabin. We paid $19 USD round trip and well worth it. Ride from Playa Tortugas to Isla Mujeres was quick and... More

This ferry has a lot more departure times than the older ferry located about two blocks away, but you pay a little more for the convenience. Nice comfortable seats inside or benches outside on the upper deck. Staff helped get luggage on and off, very nice service. Word of caution, make sure you keep your ticket for the return trip... I happened to want to save a few bucks by going all the way up to Puerto Juarez for the ferry. Definitley not worth it. Most R-1 busses do not go up that far, and you have to take a collectivo or taxi from downtown to complete the journey. And getting back, fuggetaboutit. If you are going to Isla Mujeres... More

We use UltraMar ferry service for all of our trips. The port is well maintained and beautiful. It helps to see such an attractive place as you leave to go home.
