Long days journey into another time and place. Church visit & lunch were OK but the highlight of the trip is getting to the ancient ruins of the Mayan civilization. A good tour guide is the key to getting the most from this excursion which was provided for the total cost of $40pp but it is negotiable as others paid... More

Long Day! Bring a blanket for the long bus ride! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke well in English and Spanish (which makes a HUGE difference!!).

This trip was a bit too long. 8 hours in a bus was exhausting. The food stop was subpar. I would suggest a more independent tour instead of being part of a herd.

Outstanding day visiting the ruins and walking the grounds. Excellent trip with super guides and staff. Always on time and willing to provide refreshments during the trip.

We enjoyed the history lesson while on the bus as well as the guided tour. Very interesting tradition of the Mayan people. They provided umbrellas for the sun and rain. Great experience!

the ruins is a great place to visit. it's one of the seven wonders of the world. But the thing is you cannot walk through the ruins or touch any of the ruins.

Very interesting. Some amazing structures and history. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. The only down side to the site of Chichen Itza itself, is the hundreds and hundreds of vendors trying to sell you stuff. That took some of the fun out of it.

We were definitely educated by our Tour Guide Mary, who gave us so many extra facts of information that it really made our experience that much better. The grounds were very beautiful and maintained nicely. Can't wait to visit our next pyramids!

Arranged through resort. Your typical tour bus loaded with a menagerie of folks from all over the world. The tour guides were excellent, the ruins fascinating, the restaurant food typical of group buffets and, of course, in order to exit the restaurant, you are herded through the typical gift shop area. All day excurtion.
