Playa Tortugas is located directly across the street from my winter home. I spend many days on this beach with each visit. Happy childhood memories, very clean, and the tiny restaurants and bars on the beach are very good as well. For the kids, there are climbing rocks and plenty of attractions nearby. For the adults, you can relax under... More

Fun to see and to get to, but not that much to do! But next time will try the bungee jump they have!

I had heard great things about Playa Tortugas, so we ventured there. We liked it because there were alot of families with children and the water was much calmer than other parts of the hotel zone, but we didn't like that the beach seemed dirty (bottle caps in the sand) & there was alot of algae.

Hello guys. For few days I balance to choose my ticket between Playa Delfines and Playa Tortugas from Cancun and other areas from Cancun. The reason of writing down this review is because I really am convinced that I can find there a nice and peaceful place where to have a great vacation. Besides the underwater museum which is incredible... More

Playa Tortugas is an easy bus ride from downtown Cancun; the bus fare is 9.5 pesos each way. This beach is a favorite among the locals; it is a very family friendly place. The water is shallow with ZERO waves, so it is perfect for small children. We never saw any facilities there, but in a pinch you might be... More

We recently visited Playa Tortugas in March 2014. My husband and his friend took the challenge and bungee jumped at the beach! What a great experience for the both of them! Staff were great! We had a great time at Playa Tortugas having a drink and some appetizers at a local restaurant right on the beach. Water was warm, beach... More

Playa Tortugas is a small section of the beach that seems to be preferred by the local crowd. Not much in terms of shopping or sightseeing, but a great place to have a good lunch and for crowd watching. It can get busy on a weekend, and being the only tourist in the area is a bit intimidating. Have a... More
