We stayed at the Dos Playas hotel right next to and on top of Playa Tortugas and must say it is a wonderful beach with a slow slope out into turquoise waters which were extremely warm when we were there. It is a beach which seems to be missed by many tourists as it is also the focus for the... More

Playa Tortugas is the SPOT!!! The minute we check in to our hotel and get settled in we head to Playa Tortugas, every time we go to Cancun it's our favorite beach to go to. Food is good, beach is nice, waiters are good, we had Alfonso as our waiter what a hard worker that guy was!! We will definitely... More

A lot of rubbish in the beach early in the morning. I'm really astonished with lack of respect for the place. Awful!!

I went on a Sunday. It was full of local families, no room for sitting on the sand beach, almost everyone had a table from the reataurant on the beach. So there was no room if you wanted to sit on the sand. People were walking, drinking and coming in and out. Very very crowded. Nice little shops and an... More

Beautiful clean beach had so much fun in the water! Kids love it they can swim or just jump the waves, enjoyed seeing people do the bungee jump and taking the ferry to Isla Mujeres from here was nice! I recommend shopping for t-shirts, souvenirs, etc. right here because prices are lower and there's more to choose from than at... More

Quite small and doesn't take long to walk through. Still nice to see the turtles up close and view the different types and colours that they come in.

We took the 10:00 am ferry from Playa Tortugas to Isla Mujeres. There were lots of little shops and a bar. The prices were very reasonable and the waiter was friendly. Nice views from the dock while you wait for the Ferry.

This is the area for the ferry to isla in the hotel zone the main one anyways. It has a gorgeous pier which had restaurants and bars on it as well as shops on and around the pier. We didn't stay too long but we did enjoy this place a lot.

Lots of shopping on the way to the ferry. Looks like a nice beach with a rocky cove at one end. Ferry was late.
