A place that contrasts somewhat with the style that manages the area. Being close to C.U. you get used to seeing little places with breakfast or lunch and then runs obvious when there is a place that although itself is visited by students, is not directed to them strictly. Even if you haven't booked a tour leaving from Playa Linda, go for a visit. Rent a wave runner, look at the ships, have a cool drink at Capt. Hooks, heck, even smoke a Cuban cigar. Most of the hotels along this area of the beach are either private or very quiet, it is closer to town and further from the airport but the quiet and easy access to all the normally expected facilities is just a bus ride away. We visited this beach in 1986 when the area was just starting to get tourists. Everyone back then was going to Acapulco and Cancun was brand new. Beautiful water colors during daytime. Water is not deep until you get to boat section which is a big stretch. Water is very warm and calm. No tides. Perfect for kids.
