We visited this beach in 1986 when the area was just starting to get tourists. Everyone back then was going to Acapulco and Cancun was brand new. Beautiful water colors during daytime. Water is not deep until you get to boat section which is a big stretch. Water is very warm and calm. No tides. Perfect for kids. You cannot go to Cancun and not visit this beach. Picture worthy. It's hard to get too because you have to go through one of the hotels in front...
