I would like to recommend Xplor to all people although it is physically trying if you take you time you can do it. I would think it is best with children and grandchildren. They will be thoroughly impressed .You will also be guaranteed to get some great pictures to keep for your memories.

Went for a wedding end of March 21-28 Overall good experience Swimming. Bring swimming shoes because they have very sharp rocks. 8 to buy at home or 40 at the resort. Sunscreen make sure you bring enough because it's very expensive Food. Was good, don't bother going to the resturants besides the Japan's one. Food isn't all that great but... More

We had a wonderful experience swimming with the dolphins! The trainer was very good, explaining everything to us before it occurred. The dolphins are beautiful, gentle animals. We were in the water with 2 dolphins for about 40 minutes. The "foot push" was so much fun. The only downside to this experience is that the company takes pictures and they... More

We spent Christmas here and we really had a good time. The weather was perfect (not so hot not cold) and the kids enjoy snorkeling, the beach, pool and canopy. The best thing is that you can combine the beach life with some ruins and adventure.

Would highly recommend calling Monica Rivas for Taxi service. We luckily found her and she took us to Chichen Itza, Tulum, cenotes, shopping at Playa and to the airport at the end of our stay. She was very fun, kind, entertaining and knowledgeable about the area and people. We had a great time seeing the area around Riviera Maya thanks... More

I recommend booking an excursion when you are at port here. We didn't and decided to stick around the port area. I loved the shops and wish I could have shopped leisurely but that was not the case. Most of the stores didn't have prices on the merchandise prompting you to haggle with the salespeople. I don't haggle. A lot... More

The Riviera Maya seems to have exploded since the last time we were here about 10 years ago. This trip, we stayed at the Grande Luxxe Resort. Beautiful, large resort on the beach, friendly staff, pools, restaurants, spas, stores, bars, and everything else! You travel around the resorts by golf cart type shuttles to anywhere you want to go. Would... More

If you are planning to visit Riviera Maya, and you enjoy snorkeling, you must go to Xel-Ha, I went with my son and had a wonderful time, we decided to rented a car which was very convenient, I recommend you buy a ticket with food and beverages included by internet, and you will not worry for equipment and food, just... The Mayan riviera and all it's attractions are very accessible And easy to manage on your own. I recommend renting a car and planning your own day trips. Hotel and tour operators charge $100s per person for each excursion. You can rent a car and drive to the cenotes, Mayan ruins, snorkeling spots etc. you will save tons of money.... More
