The Mexican Caribean is beautiful, but it's really developed right now. I would recommend to anybody visiting the area to set aside a couple of days to visit a couple of ruins sites that out of the way from mainstream tourism. My husband and I have been to the resort twice in the last 4 years - always clean and impressive! We love the in-room refrigerators (no fee) and the grass hut-type sun protectors on the beach.
