It's a little town specialized in Silver/Platinum designs. The prices vary you can find things from expensive to decent/cheap prices it's all about the detail pinto a particular item among other things. Everything is hand made and from there it's imported to a lot of other places in Mexico as well as around the world. More

Taxco is a wonderful colonial town. It is just a 2 and half hours south of Mexico City or just a short distance from Cuernavaca. It is small but unusually populated town nestled in the mountains. This Casa is the city's cultural center. The building goes back to Borda himself who revived Taxco when he discovered silver in the 18th century and started a second silver boom. Today art, music, and other cultural events all are centered in this building. Walk through it and you will find some classrooms, hear piano music, and discover some art... More
