We rented bikes from Jaguar which were in very good condition. We cycled to Chamula first which was mainly up hill taking about an hour. Once there we had a very quick look around and you could see the locals wearing there traditional outfits. Not too much to see though. We then cycled to Zincantan which was mainly downhill for... We completed the 'La Chamula' tour which is one of the shortest and cheapest available, at 3-4 hours and 400 pesos respectively. La Chamula is one of the indigenous villages on the outskirts of San Cristobal. Our guide was fantastic but didn't speak English, which was a bit of a bummer after reading on here that some other guides do.... More

We were in San Cristobal not for mountain biking but hiking and trekking only. Went across many travel agency in the city but only Jaguar offered help suggestions. Very friendly stuff and spead English which was important as well :) I asked for some possible tracks that we can walk around and there was no problem to get some. What... More

We did a 6 hour ride/tour to Chamula and Zinancantan. The ride out of San Cristobel is difficult because it is a 2 1/2km climb but once you are at the top it's rolling hills on paved and unpaved roads. The church in Tapachula was our first stop.People sit on straw on the floor of the church amongst hundreds of... More

Used Jaguar Aventours for a single person MTB ride. I was looking for more technical and skillful stuff than sightseeing. We did the Grutas tour, nice tough climbs, cool unexplored caves, some excellent views and finished with some technical descending back into San Cristobal. This is a route done by National Geographic a few years ago, which made it a... More

Good tour. Good balance between physical activity, sights and fun. Wasn't very technical and hence suitable for most people.

Me and my friend took an one day bicycle tour with Jaguars. On this day we were the only ones + two guides. Although they spoke little english, was their commitment and explanations in spanish good enough. The bikes were in good conditions, we met them in their offices at 8 am and started our tour by riding on surrounding... More

Bored of booking tourist trips to see the sights I was keen to get off the beaten path and experience more. Found this place and after much deliberation booked a slot with a friend. I cycle a lot, in London.. flat, and my friend rarely, so we were worried about how hardcore it would be?! Turns out it was very... More

We had a great outing with some trail riding, some road, and a fair amount of stopping and sightseeing. Jose our guide was excellent in terms of his attention to the needs of the group, and being a wealth of cultural information regarding the people and politics of the San Cristobal area. We did the 23km ride, which proved too... More

I booked the 'El Arcotete' tour which featured some beautiful caves. The bikes were in mint condition. Mauricio is a good guide and careful rider. He is very keen to share some local knowledge, but I couldn't understand all of it. He would get 5 stars if he could speak English. I should mention that this 'El Arcotete' ride contains... More
