If you have a stamp collection you must go. There is history of stamps around the world. The store has many things you can buy.

I've been through this museum a few times, mostly for evening activities, but taking a friend through recently, I discovered, in a vault containing a wide assortment of stamps and baseball-related miscellanea, an incredible display of letters from Frida Kahlo to her California surgeon. One pulls out from the wall a vertical sliding display case, and there, just inches from... More

Didn't think I would enjoy it so much. The space is beautiful...an oasis of calm and tranquility in busy Oaxaca...

It's a Harpe-Helu project. Need I say more? If you don't know this family, they are responsible for funding many great places in Oaxaca. The children's library, the textile museum, San Pablo. If you haven't seen any of them, you must see them all. They are fabulous. Oaxaca is lucky to have such great benefactors!

Thsi is a gem of a museum. Good installation. Fun and educational to visit with some activities for children. The collection is capitivating .. but the shop is seductive as you can buy sheets of stamps that are art in themselves. Toys; Talavera Ceramics. Foods of the region. prehispanic artifact are all available on sheets of stamps

Love the building, the modern architecture is absolutely gorgeous and the graphics on show and the graphics used in and around the shows are contemporary and well- presented. I'm not a stamp fan but the combo of the space and the quirkiness of the shows always makes it interesting. Also home to the bike project in town.

This is not just a stamp museum. It has art exhibits and wonderful artifacts from old post offices in Mexico. The building is much larger than it seems from the outside. The courtyards are beautiful. Look for the original adobe and straw portions of the building.

If you collect or have an interest in the stamps or postal history of Mexico this is an excellent place, located right behind The Cathedral Santo Domingo.

Who would think that a postal museum could be so interesting? I have been for three years in a row and look forward to returning each time I visit Oaxaca. Each display is well done and enjoyable. This year it was on stamps from each year of the Olympics. The gift shop is nice as well. They also have a... More

Who knew postage stamps and postal memorabilia could be this interesting and well-displayed? We went in thinking it would take 10 minutes max, and ended up spending nearly an hour. The gift shop is also nice.
