After just completing a two-week course, three hours a day, we can't say enough to capture how happy we were about the experience. Rogelio was a fabulous teacher, always encouraging us to stretch ourselves, and every other student we talked with felt the same about their instructors. We look forward to returning for future classes and encourage anyone considering studying... More

If you are thinking of attending a Spanish school in lovely Oaxaca City, look no further. This is an excellent school and I concur with all the positive comments others have already made about it (friendly, flexible, patient etc.) The school, although not in El Centro, is easy to get to by the good local bus services. I particularly appreciated:... More

I spent 4 afternoons studying with Rogelio and his amazing staff. I was interested in improving my Spanish and they provided the perfect venue. Very friendly, knowledgable, and flexible staff. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for beginner to advanced Spanish language instruction! Was well worth the time money!!

This was a fantastic immersion experience in a small school with lots of individualized attention. I've studied 3 times in Guatemala and once in Cuernavaca, and while all the schools were very good, this was the best. As the other reviewers have said, the director of Amigos de Sol, Rogelio, is very friendly, accommodating and professional. I had 2 classes... More

Amigos del Sol is an outstanding language school and provides outstanding service. Taking some some Spanish classes in our short stay was incredibly helpful. My husband and I only knew the basics - like How are you, Thank you, etc. Our comprehension and confidence significantly improved in a short period. The classes are immersive and fun. Our teacher, Hector, was... More

I studied 5 days with Maria Elena and Estaban. They helped me improve my Spanish and I had fun doing it. I would recommend this school to any skill level student. Rogelio is flexible in setting up a program to suit anybody's needs.

I was in Oaxaca for a week only, and knew almost no Spanish. Rogelio was super polite and efficient when I contacted him by email the night before. He picked me up from the Park on Pino Suarez and was friendly but only spoke in Spanish, to help immerse yourself straight away. My 3 hours lessons were with Miriam, who... More

This is definitely the place for people who need completely accomodating schedules for classes while on travel. I've never seen someone run a business so efficiently and so customized to clients' needs. And my teacher Mari was an absolute joy, supremely professional, at ease adapting an instruction plan to a high level of proficiency with themes around Day of the... More

We had a week at amigos del sol and it was very very good! For group lesson prices we got individual lessons. The teachers were very freindly and the lessons well structured and focused on our individual needs. We spend time practising in the school as well in the city, at the lokal market etc. We had so much fun!... More

Amigos del Sol is a wonderful Spanish school with fantastic teachers. I started with very little Spanish and now feel much more confident to speak to others. My teacher was extremely patient and able to encourage me to open up and speak despite being so self conscious about how terrible my Spanish was. Now every time I take class I... More
