We had a great experience on the half-day ride. It was our seven-year-old son's first time on a trail ride and Mary Jane took very good care of him. Our horse-crazy ten-year-old daughter was in horse heaven, and Mary Jane let her help care for the horses after the ride. The ranch is gorgeous, we'd love to go back. Mary... More

Where to start....this experience was truly special. I did 2 full days riding and a night at the ranch, it was such a peaceful place set in lovely surroundings. My room was comfortable and decorated nicely, the food was so tasty and Mary Jane's Margarita was particularly good. I hadn't been riding for a few years but felt so comfortable... More

We took a half-day ride with Mary-Jane as our guide. For my wife and I, it was a nice way to relax and see some of the local flora, but it was particularly a treat for the kids (11 and 16) who really enjoyed the experience of horseback riding itself. If you really want an adventure, or particularly to get... More

My husband and I just got home from 9 days in Oaxaca, and the 2 nights we spent at the ranch, and 2 nights at Mary Jane and Bobby's other property, Casa Murgia, in Oaxaca city, were highlights in a trip filled with great experiences. My husband is a novice rider, and he had such a good time, and felt... More

Wonderful experience. Three days of fairly demanding trail riding in the mountains of Oaxaca. Rode through woods covered with bromelias, spanish moss, mistletoe, through rivers, and up and down rocky trails. Horses are great - really sure footed! Cabins we stayed at fine, and effort made on food and total experience.

The day I rode with Bobby is perhaps one of the best days of my life. The ride was just him and I and we road up into the mountains. I was very excited about my first horseback expedition - but it ended up being so much more. It was a perfect week of wonderful people, perfect horses, lovely villages, historic sites, the breathtaking nature and biodiversity and so many insights into the culture and the living of the people in Oaxaca/Canada/Sierra Papalo. All of this mixed with the great... More

Mary Jane and Bobby have this well organized. The horses were in excellent shape and and very well trained. I ride in Mexico with my own horse in the mountains around Valle de Bravo and was impressed by the sure footedness of the horses and their excellent condition. We did a 3 day ride up in the Sierra de Juarez... More

And the best one yet. It was terrific. Beautiful, demanding, fun, out of the box. Loved it! You go through precolumbian trails you could never go by without a horse. Fantastic views, lovely towns, decent housing and food. Mezcal a must. The best always is Mary Jane but this time I also have to say my horse! Ready for the... More

First the good things about the ranch. The location is great. It is rural and you can ride in the hills or into the local village depending on what you want to do. The cabins are very nice as is the kitchen and dining area. And trust me you will love the time you spend there as the food is... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I appreciate your con concern for our horses but I assure you we only ride sound, healthy horses. Perhaps you are not accustomed to Arabian horses that tend to be "slim", they are the marathon runners of the horse world. Our horses trek up and down the hills year round... More
