We went this year, and it was interesting, but NOT at all about the spectacular textiles of Oaxaca (it was a middle-eastern exhibit). It absolutely should be on the world-renowned weaving, embroidery, etc. of the region. More

It is a small museum and they provide you with a great little book about each of the textiles! More

We almost didn't go in because we were running out of time. So glad we did. They had a wonderful collection of Pakistani rugs, giving Oaxaca a more "worldy" feel. More

Displays change frequently and are always interesting. Check out the museum store as well. More

Best place to see Oaxaca and Mexican textile creations in the perfect small-museum setting. Great workshops and lectures if you're in town for a few days. Not to be missed! More

This is a small museum and free. The show we saw was weavings from Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, etc. A natural dye expert was about to give a free workshop there. More

This was a beautiful quiet building and display. There was a nice guide to the exhibits from other countries but none for the local textiles displayed. I was a little dissappointed, had hoped to learn about the local textiles but did not. More

You don't have to be interested in textiles to appreciate and enjoy this museum, but it's a plus if you do. The building is lovely and the exhibits I've seen there are unique and informative. It's just a really special place. More
