It's always inspiring to be in the presence of natural structures that have lived through civilizations, centuries of war and evolution. This is one of the world's widest and oldest trees and you can't help wonder what it was like to be Benito Juarez, Porfirio Diaz or any legendary Oaxacan who took to the tree for comfort. It's a short... More

The tree itself is hyped up (a local once told me it's the biggest tree in the world...) and is actually not that large. However, it is a... More

It is amazing to see how a tree has survived wars, the death of Christ, good times, terrible times. It's seen it all... Highly recommended More

If you have free time during your stay in Oaxaca City, the Tule Tree is a nice place to visit and see a 2000 year old tree and its "brother" of 1000 years old. The visit takes no more than 20 minutes and the entrance to get closer to the trees is 10 pesos (around 80 cents of USD). The... More

We hired a taxi driver who spoke a little bit of English and so we were In charge in terms of how long we stayed anywhere. I recommend a trip to see the Tule tree as I have simply never seen anything... More
