We only see singboard from the path of street. Benito Juarez stayed there like younger boy. After he was first native president of Mexico. The home is located very close to Oaxaca hotel,.on the left side, on opposite direction to Zocalo. Inconspicuous home, one of many in the street. Small singboard on the wall warn visitors only. More

It's amazing how well preserved the few artifacts of his life are in this small house. You get to see his bedroom, his kitchen and dining room, and the book-binding work he did. A small garden with a water fountain center the house, where you are free to enter each "room" comprised of different articles from his day. We paid... More

This is OK, but since Benito was a poor youth, there are no photos of him as a child or a young man. The video they showed on request was pretty lame. More

The museum has excellent commentaries on each stage of Juarez's life. The staff however knows little or nothing in either English or Spanish and the commentaries are mostly in Spanish More

Though it is a small museum, it was very English friendly. An English version of each room's information was made available where we purchased our tickets. More

This old house does show how the fortunate middle class would have lived more than 150 years ago. You have the opportunity to walk through each room and the nice courtyard. Each room has several artifacts from that time period. So it's an interesting piece for a bit of social history. Each room also has a write up in both... More

For those who cannot read Spanish, there is really very little to see or do at the childhood home of Benito Juarez, Mexico's most famous and most beloved president. In each room is a display of what the home "might" have looked like, though almost nothing in the house was part of the house when Juarez lived there. Rather, the... More
